Its not always the lowest price is bestest for consumers bah.
According to your logic lower prices should be good for consumers, but even China govt don't want their EV car makers to keep dropping prices on their cars to kill their competitors out.

Hawkers also need to be profitable to keep themselves alive first. As long its a wiling buyer for the $15 wanton mee, then good for the wanton seller bah. As long buyers have choices to chose what they want, that's more important bah.

Consumers have a general feel of what the price is like. A $20 chicken rice in heartland area sure fails, likewise for a $4 chicken rice in town area
