In general, coffeeshop owners or management companies are earning millions. They don't want to reduce rent and don't want to fork out the money to charity free/cheap meals so they put the responsibilities on hawkers. Then it becomes the hawkers' problems, isn't it? Hawkers earn not enough still must do charity? You think all hawkers earn the same profit like 20k per month? minus away all raw ingredients and rent how much left you can calc one mah.

social enterprise is a convenient term to use in business. if u declare u are a social enterprise, you get the good impression that you are a good man or company who think for the society.

Just remove the words 'social enterprise'. It is an eyesore. You mean normal HC hawkers are not kind hearted and think of old ppl? it is the opposite, my pop said sometimes the auntie gave him two kalipok free to go with his afternoon kopi at his fav hc.
