Happie Water Dispenser Issues especially after 1 year warranty period

Anyone using Happie water dispenser in particularly the Happie Joy model? It seems like the dispenser breaks down a lot (heng suay) even before the 1-year warranty, and even if it doesn't, a few people reported that it started breaking down shortly after the 1-year warranty is over. So when that happens, we are told to pay the transport and labour costs of $87.20 for their technician to come down but only to be told it's a firmware update required and it takes only like a 10-20 minutes job.

1. Firmware update? Like seriously? The model not even like a smart appliance so is this true?
2. Even if indeed true that a firmware update is required, shouldn't it be free and also stated on their product page since it seem like a critical update that many people are facing.

Will love to hear from people using Happie Joy water dispenser on this. We've faced this issue, and so have several others, including several others in other estates. This can also be seen from Happie’s 1* Google reviews, where many complained about this as well. Do not be scammed by the high 4.9* Google reviews that they have because we are told to give a 5* review during the installation, and at that point in time, everything are done professionally. Some vendors will try to chop you with their transport and labour fees.

$80 seems Ok. Some vendors (not related to water purifier) can go up to $200.

We are not living in the 1980$ anymore. Most of the issues can be reported and shared through Whatsapp. I avoid such vendors to pay just to diagnose onsite.

Previously I was about to buy Happie but after that they told me simi ** price change. Give me reason that every year they adjust their price to reflect the market. I just thanked the sales and went to buy LG dispenser from Malaysia.

I value service more than anything and if they can roti prata on the price, then I doubt they will honor all their verbal agreement. So far LG has been a power workhorse for me.

Hey man, out of 100+ cust from Greengem, only 4 paid for the transport and labour fee and it is not even related to the firmware upgrade. Also want to highlight that there is extended 3 months warranty after the transport and labour fee is paid.

It does not matter whether three months or either 3 years your dispenser does not last. And what if after 3 months the warranty over is still come back to the same square one we still need to pay. This is my honest feedback after using your dispenser many problem coming after your warranty and you are not helpful at all. Only know to say transport charge only. Then you are able to help only.

Transport and labour charge is $80 before gst. Every company have a fee for repair after the warranty end tho
