i also ask best about the warranty, i show him lg websites say 1 yr warranty, but he claim it 3yr and even show me the whatsapp message with lg to confirm it 3 yr, cause he mention i not the first to ask about lg 1 yr warranty on the monitor and say lg in korea will change the websites

pls note this is 3440 so ppi is 95 while asus 32 is 138 and hv dual mode to switch to 1080p(so it sharper then 3440 at 1080p cause internal tming etcc will off set this while 3440 cant).

how you like the 39"? got asked about 45" gx950, the new brochure put $2999, but no stock.

LG SG is sux max, really look down on us, by the time release here, globally will announce the tandem oled version

Look glossy, not bad decent brightness and good color. But i nv ask he can switch to text. But since it a new sub pixel layout it should be better

But got a feeling Asus true black will be better but funan no shop demo yet but Best staff say need to wait longer for demo as it Just release. I mean Asus 32

Best staff confirm 2999 and claim 45gx will release next yr in sg and monitor demo next yr. i ask him why sg release so slow where us release in feb.

He say no choice sg is slow. Lg don't release to sg

by the time sg release, i rather get tandem 32inch. who on earth will pay $3k for a outdated tech. by then 45gx is 1.4 yr old liao. the tech world, anything more then 6mth is old tech (to me)

for now if lg say 3 yr warranty is true, then it 39gx or asus 32inch

yes is true, using 1800r curve monitor during wfh covid and go back orpit flat monitors, the flat monitor image will look concave.

but i dont get motion sick.

800r is needed for 45" due to how wide it is. .

should be fine for normal use, last time wfh i was staring at it for 12/5.

800R at least get 39" and bigger.

For those 4k panels, are we able to run them on 1440p? Many games need like 5090 to run 4k effectively

can, for just 4k panel without those dual mode. you can change the res at game setting but a dual mode panel will be better due to:

AI say:
Dual-mode = hardware-level switch. The monitor is telling the PC: “Now I’m a different display.” Everything (timing, response curve, overdrive, scaler) changes.

Standard 4K = signal passthrough + upscaling. The panel just stretches the image. You may get laggy or blurry results, especially if scaling is poor.

in my case if i get 39inch 1440p then if gpu cannot support then i swtich to 2560x1080p

Nowadays I mostly game on 4k monitor with 1440p fsr AA just as good as 4k for higher fps using GPU scaling.

i wonder if anyone can guess which is 4k and 2k. screenshot taken with Steam on G8 27in 4K OLED

my guess

1st pic: top is 2k, btm is 4k
2nd pic: top is 2k, btm is 4k

i hope i am wrong, if wrong mean 39inch at 1440p vs 4k at 32inch should not be much diff, when i game at ultra wide 1080p or when i upgrade my gpu to B770 or 9070xt to game at ultra wide 1440p
