I recalled sharing a table with him when eating BKT at China Street in the early 1990s with my ex-boss.

He spoke about Chinese culture and even passed his business card to me.

I saw the Death Kopitiam FB post which shows that he passed away on 15th September presumably in Australia and the wake in Singapore is only now until 4th October.

Wanted to say ... if LKY and wife were so great lawyers, when they were given discounts for purchasing high priced property , why didn't it trigger something in their minds

And if it didn't, why is Iswasy punished for accepting gifts from Ong?
There is no indication Iswasy gave something back to Ong or he was at Ong's beck and call

RIP. I attended his rally in 1997. And then came the infamous "Molotov cocktail" statement from Lau Goh.

Don't know whether people pestered him when he was in Australia and rumoured in Johor

Think so long as he kept away from Singapore etc and not made statements PAP disliked when he's overseas , he is generally unmolested
