Is this evidence 89% of Singaporeans earn less than $7,692 a month?

It's not really like that though, not everyone can, is able to or should do those industries. Can't be everyone's job is to shuffle money or code in SG. We need food, nursing, tour operators, catering etc.

Pay is generally correlated to value add.

If choose to pursue a less value adding industry, then it is only logical that pay will be lower.

If it is a conscious choice then the trade offs are known upfront.

To me, my deduction is most are in debt, living more lavish styles than what they earn? 🤷‍♂️
But debt has nothing to do with 100k p.a for top 11% calculations.
So you saying that the SGreans are not actually rich but spend more using debt eg credit card car loans etc?

actually i wouldn't be surprised that most in sg don't make a lot off their work income, but if you factor in investments and rent, then will be earning a lot more.

Could get $700 - $1k/month off renting a room out, save a lot and invest most of the savings earn another 1k/month.

Just need a job that pays 5.5k (including bonus), if the job pays 4.5k + (3 months bonus), including rent + investment, then will hit that amount liao

Some people are also likely to rely on family money for rent/investments, even with low paying job, are able to earn more in comparison.

This is the future of SG.
Govt got no income tax to collect anymore. Only GST.

In the 80s. one income in a household can support whole family and can even get a car. In the 90s, need two incomes liao and may still afford a car. In the 2000s, two incomes but tough to maintain a car. So salary cannot cope with the cost of living in Sinkapore, majority of the sinkies are struggling with COL...
Sounds like one income of the whites can support many many families and still can even get a car or two
The rich only gets richer

2.4m Singaporeans earn less than $100k
https://www.channelnewsasia.com/sin...-living-assurance-package-budget-2024-4543251

2.7m eligible voters in Sg
https://www.straitstimes.com/singap...available-for-public-inspection-from-march-25

So only 300,000 Singaporeans earn above $100,000. This is 11%

To earn $100,000 a year, one needs to earn $7,692 a month, assuming most jods have a 13th month bonus component.

So 89% of Singaporeans earn below $7,692 a month?

that's around managerial pay scale, you think sinkies all managers?
