ah, legend ! by the time I started watching in the early 2000s, he was having his farewell tour... I recall he retired the same time as Tony Adams and Lee Dixon

saw clips of MLT again because of recent comparisons between Onana and Massimo Taibi, who infamously let MLT's shot slowly roll in under him :s13:
the style of play has changed quite abit. You know if these defenders are still in play, there won’t be a Ronaldo or Messi, Haaland close but not to a point where they are now because they will spend quiet abit of time injured.

Cristiano Ronaldo has become the FIRST football billionaire with his net worth climbing to $1.4 BILLION.

He is the first footballer identified by Bloomberg to achieve billionaire status.

For a long time, he and Lionel Messi, with whom Ronaldo has duelled for the title of greatest player, earned similar wages. But since his move to Al-Nassr in Saudi Arabia his net worth has rocketed.

:frown:

need to see him asap for a humble amount of donation towards my bank account :/

Rio Ferdinand on why he'd prefer starting Mason Mount over Matheus Cunha against upcoming fixture with Liverpool:

"What is the benchmark of a Mason Mount performance?

What’s the identity of a Mason Mount performance?

What’s in his makeup consistently when you see him? Energy, pressing, and work ethic."

Liverpool, Bayern, and several top clubs from Spain, including Real Madrid & Barcelona, are reportedly interested in signing Marc Guéhi this summer, according to Fabrizio Romano.

A “crazy battle” is expected, with five or six clubs in the race for his signature, per the report.

Where should Guéhi go?

| NEW: Arsenal are planning a major expansion of the Emirates Stadium that could force them to move their home matches temporarily to Wembley Stadium.

Detailed work has gone into a potential overhaul of the north London stadium that would increase Arsenal’s current 60,700-capacity to beyond 70,000.

It would restore the club’s standing as the biggest ground in London, overtaking West Ham United and Tottenham.

Sir Jim Ratcliffe: “Amorim has not had the best of seasons. Ruben needs to demonstrate he is a great coach over three years. That's where I’d be”.

“You can't run a club like United on knee-jerk reactions to the press who goes off/on one every week”.

Sir Jim Ratcliffe confirms he intends to give three years to Rúben Amorim: “Yes. Three years because things don't happen overnight”, told The Business Podcast.

“I remember the pressures that were calling for Sir Alex Ferguson's sacking in his first two years. Look at Arteta with Arsenal, he faced a tough time in his first two years”.

“We have to be patient and look at the results in the long term”, told Times.

On what was gonna happen if the Glazers told him to sack Rúben Amorim: “It’s not gonna happen”

Manchester City’s long-awaited verdict on the 115 Premier League charges could finally arrive this month.

Premier League claims City:

• Gave false information about their revenue and sponsorship deals.

• Didn’t fully disclose payments to players and managers.

• Broke UEFA’s Financial Fair Play and PSR rules.

• Didn’t cooperate with league investigations for several years.

The club stands accused of breaching financial rules over a nine-year span (2009–2018) but has denied all allegations.

| NEW: Thomas Tuchel wants England to attack next year’s World Cup with an underdog mentality.

Tuchel: “We will arrive as underdogs at the World Cup because we haven’t won it for decades and we will play against teams who have repeatedly won it during that time - so we have to arrive as a team or we will have no chance.”

Orlando City want to sign Spurs forward Richarlison in the summer of 2026 for around £30M.

Their designated players are currently Luis Muriel, Martín Ojeda and Marco Pašalić.

The MLS club have started talks with Richarlison's representatives but the transfer looks complicated because he's become an important part of Thomas Frank's squad at Tottenham Hotspur.
