Note "key reason" doesn't mean only reason nor does it mean that we are somehow immune to gerrymandering. It's about as sound as saying that sg is now and forever immune to corruption.

Moreover, this could be handled in different ways other than shifting borders all the time. For a long time, many have been asking for the abolishment of GRCs. Ironically, the example she gave highlights the inherent issue that comes with GRC/multiple representatives for one electoral district. Divide the land into equal sized (in terms of land area) and make it all SMCs or D(as in Dual)MCs at most, regardless of the number of residents. The areas with facilities like ports can be made larger but still limited to SMC or DMC. That would also address the other criticism of so many of them being "parachuted" into parliament.

But knowing MIW, they won't dare because they stand to lose more.

:(

In fact I respect her fil aka old man more.

At least he was straight forward to say that it is not his job or PAP, to make it easier for the opposition party to come into parliament.

Ya hope ah gong is still alive

most here in this piece of land know the reason why, so there’s no need to come out with excuses…
