Honestly, quite ironic — people say religion kills curiosity or holds back progress, but even with all our tech, AI, and so-called evolved thinking, we still end up asking the same old question “What kind of world are we living in now?” (The title of this thread)
Shows that human intellect alone can’t fix what’s broken inside us.
In the end, everyone has to decide for themselves what they believe — because whichever truth we choose to stand on now will decide where we’ll stand after this life too.

because if you are talking about it from an existential pov, I don't think it has anything to do with progress as its an age old question and I certainly don't perceive the thread title that way

can you elucidate on what's broken inside of us because I don't feel broken/empty or lacking anything spiritually or otherwise?

I have accepted that there is no afterlife and I am satisfied with that outcome because I understand how insignificant we are and there is nothing special about us as a species nor is earth too because science is unveiling information that proves so at an amazing rate.

i remembered last time my grandparents said this too.
during my parents time, i also remembered my father said this.
now, even i said the same.
so, in every era, world is chaotic
