You can't compare old hdb with new hdb. The new ones have better design and technology

Best is stay ground floor. Not even middle

but last time hdb only single layer at the roof. nowadays got double layer. still got air gaps in between.

but last time.. they build with TLC and construction materials are all good quality.

Last time hdb already have double layer. Cement block tiles lay on top of a brick lattice base

My house top floor. Ceiling not hot (maybe because have solar panel)

Ceiling no leak , very windy , wait for lift not an issue , unblocked view .

issues I occasionally faced are lizards and teenagers at staircase smoking or do hanky panky stuff.

Given a choice again I will choose top floor, the higher ceiling height is good

maybe because new. but 20 years liao some water issues might come?
