I had the intention to get an APP3 with my HPB vouchers but happen to bought the $249 (-$100 off) set prior launch day. Ended up spending my vouchers on groceries instead already.

Just bought the APP3 from apple store, but I think I might return it.
Functionality is much better than my APP1, but the fit feels uncomfortable.

Currently still on APP1 and happy with the fit but it's getting old (bought from day 1 in 2019), the battery is getting weaker. And I'm unsure when it might just die on me.

Sadly, though I've tried all the different bud sizes for APP3 (from largest to xxs), am still finding the new buds more uncomfortable compared to APP1. To note, am using largest bud size for APP1.

Was wondering if maybe I should just buy APP2 at a discounted price instead. Anyone knows if the fit between APP1 and APP2 are more similar?

Fit on APP1 and APP2 are the same because there is no foam inside. APP3 have foam in their tips.

Yeah, seems like the foam possibly makes the noise cancellation better. But it's more uncomfortable. But your mileage might vary. Hear some people say that their fit is more comfortable with APP3 compared to previous versions.

The app3 tips definitely is more firm and thus blocks out more noise and is also less likely to drop off.
