Yes, this perhaps reminds me a bit of the cronyism happening in the hawkers' scene and the skills future project.

Machiam like benefit own kaki, like that.

Interesting during the GE, he flew under te radar compared to Harpreet, Alexis, Michael and Eileen. Even Ong Lue Ping and Jackson Au/Alia Mattar, etc. got more attention than him.
He really exceeded everyone's expectations so far.
Maybe he is the secret weapon

You really his fan boi lol. What are you, a paid marketeer? Haha
Or is it he mentioned the important aspects, that many of the PAP MPs don't dare to touch because they need to toe party lines?

Who even needs the generic motherhood statements that many of them put out in the parliament?

We are more interested in the national-level policies like education, healthcare, transportation and CPF, etc.

Or you prefer listening to Jo Teo, Indranee Rajah or the TPL/SXL, etc. continuously screaming praise about the government and continuously parroting the party's narratives?

I more interested in the tough and important aspects, not the municipal-level stuff when inside the parliament. So far only the opposition MP/NCMPs dared to ask, no more TCB inside PAP now liao, thanks.

In reality dis ish fair to all however not beneficial to....
Can fine-tune, 1st is to acknowledge the possibility of revamping the current scheme where schools get the funding instead of students 1st.

Then slowly debate on the pros and cons, in order to come out with a better scheme. Not immediately swipe off, like what the paper general is doing.

Perhaps because the entire scheme is to allow the funds to go into the schools' hands, rather than individual needy families' hands ?

Same as hawker centres and coffee shops, etc. where grants go into the operators' hands instead of individual hawkers.

Or Skillsfuture, where the operator receive grants for courses which not many are interested in compared to the Computer Courses e.g Python/Murex/PMP or ACCA/CFA/CPA, CSCA/ACAMS and Engineering Courses, etc.
Which is why I said nice jab in another thread.

Some big group gonna be butthurt and he will be fixed once there's an opening.

And sadly, sinkies won't care.

Agree. Guessing , article is written by Jamus + AI. PAP prefers top down. So Jamus goes bottom up, different. RI + AI, unstoppable.

Going bottom-up really need to be on the ground and talk with the challenged families individually to know the difficulties they face one.

That means AL whom is a NCMP need to shadow the elected WP MPs, in order to really interact with them in a private setting so that more people willing to really shared their actual challenges.

Alot of the ministers e.g OYK got their info from civil servants or the ka kia operators, etc. so they get filtered information. The SEHC debacle recently is a good example, KF Seetoh got actual on-the-ground info from the hawkers themselves one.
