Now you 1Gbps so you can sign up 10Gbps as a new user, just need to call Starhub sales hotline to ask for the promotion. If you upgrade to 5 or 10Gbps with TV if you need TV and you can ask them to offer you a good price. I am on Homehub Ultra Speed 10G with phone at $92/mth but i have 4 TV passes and Netflix Premium & Viu Premium, sports and Premier.

will try. but you are having an awesome package i must say.

Me is downgrading, no moola no dreams.

1Gbps to 10Gbps is an upgrade and not downgrading. Honestly they are having very good offer if you complain and ask them to give you a good offer.

hi senior members,

seeking advice on SH broadband plan.

intending to get the 10Gbps plan with the hisense tv @ $68/mth or the one with netflix at $88/mth from IT show.

the promotion right now is $200 capitaland voucher + $50 courts voucher. the router they give is TP-Link HB710 for both. Any chance to upgrade to the EB810v? or sticking with HB710 will do? still cant really understand the difference between the two.

salesperson also recommended getting another HB710 on carousell for the mesh to ensure full coverage.

on the setup, was told trooper will access and connect the router at living room for best connectivity but i read some ppl just put modem and router at db box.

TIA for all the advice!

Actually the wifi coverage will depend on the size of the unit and the layout and floor plan. Usually this router is for HDB BTO small unit and not for condo which has a big floor area. This HB710 only has 1 LAN port so if you want to have some LAN cable connection then a switch is needed or can tell the sale person to help to upgrade to EB810v that is 4 LAN Ports. 3 x 2.5G and 1 x 10G and you need 10G LAN card for 10G LAN cable connection to get 10 Gbps speed. The maximum speed test result is 8.2 Gbps.

https://www.starhub.com/personal/broadband/routers.html

For Starhub it is 10 Gbps internet standalone or 10 Gbps internet bundled with Homehub+ and Netflix is bundled as part of homehub+ plan. Homehub has different TV pass like Sports and Premier etc.

Hi guys, what’s the contact for the popular StarHub lady for recontract?
Thanks!

Never used her service but yes she is famous in this thread.

Just did a quick search in this forum for "Selina Contact Starhub".
https://forums.hardwarezone.com.sg/search/2539777/?q=selina+contact+starhub&o=relevance

Then I can find one post about her contact number. Hopefully it is still working.

You can try contact StarHub Selina @81161630, alot of people here have signed up through her. Really a fuss free experience. I also contacted her and she settled within 2 days.
Thanks to the bro who initially shared her contact! 🙏

Trooper installed the ONT Nokia XS-240X-A. Internet is OK.
But everytime I reboot my RT-BE86U, it doesn't get IP from ISP - no internet.
My workaround is to navigate the RT > WAN DNS settings just click OK to reapply settings.

Direct connect to ONT port bypassing the router, Internet is OK.

Only changed is the SH ONT and ISP provider, I don't have issue on my previous ISP/ONT and the same RT-BE86U router.

Any idea?
@jesp15 I have the same exact issue as you, tried to change all sorts of settings in the WAN page, doesn't work.
Just curious did you manage to solve this issue?

p.s. I also called Starhub but keep getting useless agents who obviously knows nothing about network issues..

Which router are you using?

Are you using Starhub default DNS? Or you havechanged the DNS to something like Google/Cloudflare DNS (8.8.8.8/1.1.1.1)?

Same as jesp15, Asus RT-BE86U. From my searches I found this reddit entry that is saying this a long-standing Asus Router issue:

Recently changed to 10Gbps plan and Starhub gave the nokia xs-140x-a as ONT.

Yes I'm using the Starhub default DNS, router admin page setting option: "Default status : Get the DNS IP from your ISP automatically.".

The strange thing is as per what jesp15 said, on the admin page's WAN DNS settings just click OK to reapply settings, then the internet connection is restored.

I see, then looks like an Asus FW issue,

I will suggest you to give Merlin FW a try to see if that helps.

You can also play with the DNS server settings -- to see whether Google/Cloudflare DNS is better or not. I use Google/Cloudflare DNS and not Starhub DNS servers for my Starhub 5Gbps Fibre Internet. But I am not using Asus, just bought an HB710 from Starhub as main router and Huawei AX3 Pro as an AP for legacy clients,

Note: my Starhub 5Gbps recontract offer at S$30.37 per month in Jan 2025 did not have the free HB710 but just a lousy EX510, since better recontract offer only came a bit later.

Nice, so this is not the CIS offer but looks like a targeted offer to some StarHub Mobile users (including Giga, not so sure about Eight).

It is not as good as the 10Gbps recontract offer (with free HB710) some existing StarHub users got here.

Still I will say it is already a very good offer. Just for comparison, M1 10 Gbps offer is at S,z$34.90 per month now, without a router. The user has to top up S$9 per month for Asus RT-BE92U, or S$10 per month for TP-Link Archer BE805, or S$21 per month for a pair of Asus ZenWiFi BT10.

Heard from promoter at tech show same price offer for existing SH customers.

FYI, some existing users get a better StarHub 10Gbps plan recontract offer at S$30.49 per month with free HB710.

Not so sure if there are more users getting the S$30.49 per month recontract offer.

M1 has increased the effective price of M1 3Gbps/6Gbps/10Gbps plan in Oct 2025. So probably less competition now for StarHub...

is $33.59 price good for 10gbps new customer?
