using redmi buds 5 which sounds better than redmi buds 5 pro

bought the wavelet app, 9-band EQ, equal loudness, limiter, bass tuner, good quality overall, some earbuds profile are supported
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.pittvandewitt.wavelet

use youtube sound frequency test to identify and tune eq accordingly

source material matters the audio bitrate minimum 192k lossy m4a (aac) or webm (opus)
https://github.com/deniscerri/ytdlnis
this downloader allows selection of higher bitrate from many sites
use SPEK program to check bitrate authentic or not, this is definitive
while https://mediaarea.net/en/MediaInfo shows variable or constant bitrate as reference (tracks as mp4)
youtube and bilibili can find >192k tracks

if equal loudness across tracks matters the only fix for me is ffmpeg loudnorm (command line re-encode)

I used to own those cheap Xiaomi for less than $40. All can't last more than 6 months as I used it for running. Then I got a Jabra elite 7 pro in mar 2022. One of the best ever purchase. Run with my sweats and in the rain ! It is still going strong .

Just get those around $50 can already. They are very good quality now.

I recommend earfun Air 4 pro or some CMF buds pro 2. They around $50 bucks or some after discount.

Earfun Air Pro 4
Earfun Air Pro 4i
EarFun Air Pro 4+
which one is better?
there are comparison articles online

do note that 4i and 4+ are quite new, so not yet spotted in official earfun store in shopee

"better" also depends on price, normal pro 4 price is competitive during promo, so the "cheaper" 4i may not be much cheaper, if it officially appears

4+, can see difference on earfun website

I just bought 2 different types of earbuds from shopee baseus for $38. They are not the best, I don't need them to be. I do not expect them to last long either, not for what I am going to use them for.

i got the Realme Buds Air 6 Pro coz the versus.com score very high :ROFLMAO:

1 year on still good. almost daily use during workout.

ANC ok, sound quality is pretty good. price dropped around $60. earfuns might be better but I can't get past the big wordings on the earpieces.

I mean there are similarly priced earbuds from actual audio equipment brand from China.. why even consider all these non-audio related brand leh.. I heard of Moondrops and KZ and several others I mean FiiO might be more expensive.. or you can get Tangzu IEM then add your own wireless adapter to it.
