The few times I was there for grocery shopping, found the veggies wasn’t fresh.
Jaya grocer will survive there as there is probably demand from Uni students / Southampton university n the f&b

Entered Johor Bahru at 7.30am and exiting now. Pleasantly surprised that there’s no school holiday jam. Entry was smooth, no queue except for less than 5 minutes entering BSI. Now exiting Woodlands and stuck for another 5 minutes.

Yeah, because I want to avoid jam going in and out mah. I usually go in after sending the kids to school. Then I’ll do my groceries and run my errands and buy dinner back for family. Parents wanted to eat the Kwang Hui duck but today Wednesday, not opened, so just bought them Chicago Chicken city for dinner.

I’m really lucky today, roads were clear, stamp passport fast. Usually I will leave around 2pm.

Haha yes, today was faster than usual considering it’s the school holidays. I left the primary school carpark at 7.20 ish and I ordered the wanton noodles at 7.52am at Yu ee century.

Oh is it? I thought school holidays sure jam an hour, but not many cars. Once again, I noticed zero those tinted windows Malaysian Alphard at the checkpoint. Maybe that’s why traffic was smooth. Maybe every other Singaporean is in Japan now.

Next trip you may wanna to try Teck Sing.
In particular, the dried cuttlefish cabbage (only my grandma would cook this dish). Bet your parents would love it.
Their butter gourd eggs is also their signature dish along with minced meat brinjal.
I stop eating their famous paper wrapped herbal chix cos it is tiny now and the chix didn’t seem fresh.
Their kou rou yam, pork ribs etc
