So many kef, you’re certainly the number one kef guru here.
No la I only use wireless series.

2x LS60 with 2x kc62 each and Isoacoustics GAIA 2 feet.
LS50 wii with kc62 and isoacoustics Aperta - pc desktop use
LSX II with kc62 and KEF feet for desktop use

I have been following AsciLab's development. They design extremely well measuring speakers. They use Klippel NFS during speaker development. Their driver & crossover components look to be pretty high quality. Demand is high, they are perpetually out of stock.

For your $800 budget, I would recommend AsciLab F6B. If you can stretch your budget a bit more, shoot for the C6B.

Go watch Erin's Audio Corner review of the C6B.

I think they have signed up a SG dealer, you may wish to contact them directly.

It’s likely that KEF lacks the high-end extension and bass output of B&W, but its strength lies in the cohesiveness of its coaxial design for near-field desktop applications. Subjectively, it may or may not feel like an upgrade, depending on your preferences.😁

ya my 685 is too near, if i was about 30 to 40cm away from my computer desk it would sound a lot better as in sweet spot

that why now want to change a bookshelf for desktop.

since this is for near-field desktop applications should sound a lot better

Wow, the 3i—very cool. I love how isobaric designs deliver such tight, controlled bass. I auditioned it briefly once—wonderful speakers.”
