I stay there a few times, location very good, 3 star hotel can't expect much. If got choice, I won't stay there
I agree, this is the best of all the 2/3 star hotels at Sutera, and there’s no walkable Airbnb condominium. Plus the location is really unbeatable.

WTM and the pork noodles all very good, portion very big for RM8. Environment not oily or stuffy, weather was cooling as rain yet to arrive. Tables were full at 10am. Business is good, servers were friendly.

Last night, Pekin hosted an event at one of their event halls. Cigarette butts more than the number of Singaporeans at Verbana.

You drive, can consider The Leverage Business hotel, in between Sutera Mall and Paradigm Mall.
Yes, Sutera no airbnb.

Just spent 3 hours plus chasing the kids at Sutera Mall indoor playground. RM110 day pass for 2 kids 2 adults, quite a good deal, the area is quite big, not as big as Fanpekka or Star kids gym, but way bigger than say Funtopia.

They have this water play area which is unique- they are the only indoor playground with it.

Lunch was at HDL because the wife and daughter wanted to do the free manicure earlier. The son had three servings of their soft serve ice cream. The wife noted that their prices have dropped a bit; business wasn’t as good, got some empty tables during lunchtime. We were last here in December 2023, and their floor size has shrank by half. The other half is now a Korean BBQ if I’m not wrong. I think they face the same issue as Singapore HDL and BITP, losing a bit of business as competition increases. Advantage hotel that stretch alone has several hotpot restaurants.

Now back at hotel for the kids nap time. Weather was good, cloudy but no rain. If weather holds up, will visit night market recommended by Habs.

Yes, heavy rain. Back at Sutera mall, just now needed umbrella to cross the road from AGH. Seems like dinner will be here at Sutera mall, no chance to go the night market by Habs or WTM by Ago. Thought about going to Bestmart heng park food court for some BBQ and Lok Lok but lazy to drive out in this weather.

What do you guys usually have for dinner at Sutera mall?

Guess what? The wife Sibei indecisive, I was leaning towards Evergreen, on the way down from the escalator, she saw Burger King and said, okay Burger King, faster eat finish so she can go shopping. I knew it!

Used the coupon once again, total S$10.36. The saving grace is at least food is cheap. Their real whopper seems smaller than Singapore BK, eat not really full, I think later will drop by the WTM for a quick bite if it’s still opened.

This guy one man show at 7.30pm. Took order, made burgers and fries, and clear tables all by himself. Impressive Malay fella!

Very disappointing to see one young Malaysian Chinese couple teenagers ate finish, pat their backside and held each other hands and walked out of BK. Haixxxx, just help the one man show staff abit, clear your own trays also cannot.

Verbana moved! No wonder I couldn’t locate them!!

One good thing about JB indoor playground day pass is once it crosses the 3 hour before closing time, no parent will bring their child in because bo hua. 3 hours is RM38, parents would either have early dinner and come before 3 hours closing or come again tomorrow. Noble kids closes later than most JB indoor playground at 10.30pm, so after dinner, we had the entire place to ourselves to play hide and seek. Now taking a break to share some thoughts on Sutera area since it’s our first ever staycation in this location.

Sutera Mall is really quiet compared to Midvalley or paradigm mall or KSL on a weekday. Earlier in the day, still can see some Singaporeans, now totally zero. I think the wet weather also had an effect. Visited the men’s toilet multiple times today Noble kids is right next to one, and I noticed on two separate occasions 1) a Malay man entering a cubicle and lighting up; 2) a SenQ salesman pee already never wash hands. 🤮

As for the hotel and surrounding shop houses, the wife and I both enjoy this area- super walkable, got variety of things to do and even a car wash and escape room. Bad thing is there’s no animal cafe, but not a dealbreaker. Massage and good food is plentiful.

At night can see many youngsters drinking and eating hotpot, same as the Mount Austin Manhattan crowd, but less chaotic I would say, maybe because there isn’t a club like NYX right smack in the middle. I have yet to see a PRC escort as well.

Last but not least, I want to praise the boss and staff of Noble kids play land. There is constantly 2-3 staff patrolling the area and tidying up stuff. There’s 6-7 staff in total on a wet Tuesday evening, and I can see the management hiring more than sufficient staff to ensure a pleasant experience for us parents. The staff are also quite alert and hardly ever on the phone, especially the one in charge of the wet play section. Whenever we enter, there’s always a staff helping to scan our wristbands.

And the wifi is damn fast! I uploaded the pictures several times today in an instant.

10.10pm and three of the staff are stacking the blocks. I’ve been to so many indoor playground before and I’ve never seen any staff bother to stack the blocks back ever. Dedication.

Ago, this is the morning shift WTM sold by old Malaysian uncle.

This is the WTM you ate while drunk and I’m glad to inform you, your tastebuds still work fine even when intoxicated. They use egg noodles so more tangy and the two foreign workers cooked it really well, chilli was solid, on the whole just better than the morning uncle one. Thanks for the recommendation, will drop by if I’m ever on the area at night. They close at 1.30am. Didn’t see any Singaporean men there though, there’s three tables plus me ordering takeaway- a pair of Malaysian Ah Lian with bleached hair and those thick white crocs; one Malaysian white collar worker n shirt and pants playing mobile game while enjoying his WTM; and a table of three Malaysian middle age men in slippers shooting the **** and smoking. Pretty decent crowd for a Tuesday night.

While walking back to Avantgarde, I noticed many Malaysians still eating and chilling at close to 11pm. I even saw one table of three- father, mother and toddler son in high chair eating lala hotpot. Pretty cool sight. Malaysians really do eat later into the night compared to Singaporeans, and they have so many more late night dining options compared to us.
