yes, roughly thats how it works but it also depends on your esim provider

i apologise about linking back to xiaomi, but i personally felt that oxygen updater comment is targeted because you just drop it out of nowhere

ok. i understand u talking about ads in general, but i am specifically talking about system apps that i have issues with. So for me i also wun recommend realme coz its the same situation about the system app ads

For me, I will generally avoid apps with ads unless die die no choice have to use. HWZ I am viewing via mobile chrome, don't really have ads pop up. I know when using at desktop, the ads keep popping up, damn irritating. Anyway, I apologise for bringing up the Xiaomi topic over at OnePlus page few weeks back.

If u guys wanna get rid of those 3rd party apps de ads.. just add the Adguard free adblocker domain in your phone private DNS settings can Liao.. very simple solution lol...

If want better a bit with more control, can look at nextdns

Ya u need internet to activate... Usually in airports lo free wifi..you disable or not doesn't matter coz it's only usable in your designated roaming areas..

U still haven tell us which esim u using. But usually is just download the sim profile 1st, the company's esim would have registered the esim with your phone's esim IMEI alr. Then when reach destination turn on can alr.

At least that's what I did with my ByteSim with Japan unlimited data, but I put in my 5ber sim card in the app, even though I have esim in my phones, coz my simba esim stored in e same app/sim also has intl roaming so can switch between the 2

Side track a bit...recommended for those needs esim when overseas. Using esim from ICC,good signal strength.Worth to give it a try.
Btw,Simba roaming in Shanghai kinda sux at times.

Nice! Let me try, been using the standard adguard dns to block ads system wide but some ads still fall thru.
