If want follow as per requirement, 40k per fam but usually 20k more than enough if you just go few days

Next month I'm going. Intend to just bring some Baht some S$, youtrip and credit card.
Not changing too much Baht cos exchange rate not nice. Can always change S$ to Baht there.

Of course, these night markets are "tourist" night markets mainly.
Nothing much for me at least.

As what @ApeTruelove shared, your accomodations and return flight more important.
Unless there's something otherwise, unlikely they will specifically request to check on financials. As with all overseas trip, need to ensure that you have readily available funds to cater to any incidents if and when required ah..
