The oneplus 15 global and China set price so much difference. If can live without esim support. I think very worth it.

Wow. I never thought of this. I thought all phones are imported and still have price difference between Malaysia and JB? Buy from JB is international ROM with full legitimate google support correct? Can share roughly the price difference for same model between JB and Singapore?

jb set is still international rom

my old samsung watch 4 is like that

basically no difference

Using Oneplus 13 Chinese Version now.

My recommendation is, if you can afford the global version, get that.

Too many quirks on my Chinese Version. While not unuseable, it is very annoying. Voice commands not working, Phone link to PC not working etc.

Recently bought an entry level Xiao mi device (Redmi), Singapore official retail price is SGD$199 (year end discount applied) and Lazada cheapest was SGD$178

bought the same model in Malaysia JB at retail store, converted to SGD is SGD$158 … cheaper than Lazada and yet have one year official Malaysia Xiao mi warranty, can bring back to Xiao mi service centre in paradigm mall in JB
the grab from jb sentral to paradigm is rm15 off peak. return trip will be sgd10 minimum. havent include bus fare from sg custom to jb custom. you probably save $6. enough to eat 1 kfc 2 piece meal in jb.

My last Poco phone couldn't use HSBC app for a while coz it complained it's rooted or something.

Worked after a few weeks.

My relative's Xiaomi lost Google services suddenly and since then play store installed stuff like WhatsApps can't update.

China ROM phones is like the modern version of the Japanese keitai trend. Looks tempting but seriously not worth the trouble when they got global versions anyway.

It's ok if you are poor lah. The discount is seriously worth considering. You get 90+% of the features for maybe 2/3 the cost?

But if you are rich don't cheapskate out.

Also don't bother flashing global rom yourself, I have done that for months. Google integrity checks getting stricter and stricter.

That one was google fault, forced xiaomi to close non google approved whitelist loophole on low end phones. High end phones in that same period not affected.

Now almost all xiaomi china rom phones have google services pre installed. Maybe they reached agreement on licensing.
