Can retire at anytime
Thats great. Reaching FI gives you the optionality whether to continue working or not. Some die-hard FIRE enthusiasts think you must quit job the moment you FI.

Also good that you realised some of the profits and let the rest run.

Actually should la. Unless you run own business or you earn money zuobolan. Most organisation quite toxic one. Stay too long, eventually no time to spend money. A few of my millionaire uncles didn’t even manage to spend their wealth. Mostly plan say 60 want to have good life. Some 65 kicked bucket already.

I know a few company boss, all 55 already let 2nd gen take over. No point push ownself so hard.

How much networth then is consider a good sum?
Enough to fund your retirement plan.

Seriously depends on your age and your expenses.

If you spend around 3k a month and is already 60, then perhaps a 900k portfolio is sufficient (on top of your home)

I understand the logic. How about ballpark of networth with all in (incl HDB and CPF) for somebody like me 48? Is 200k ok? Or is 1m considered rich?

You still didn't mention your expenses.

200k isn't enough for a 3k monthly expenses
