50 GPON OLT supports 50G PON, XGS-PON and GPON.

The product shows asymmetrical 50Gbps/25Gbps but later there will be symmetrical 50Gbps product.

Results shown in the video:

50GPN: 41.7Gbps download, 28.3Gbps upload.

XGS-PON: 8.5Gbps download

GPON: 2.2Gbps download

Give it another decade, we will get there, similar to the transition from GPON to XGS-PON. This also shows it was the right decision to go with fibre, because the infrastructure could be repurposed by upgrading the OLT and ONT to achieve higher speed.

That is correct. Understand that the present Nokia OLT can support up to 25Gbps and i have suggested this 25Gbps internet to SH.

That's not it, they would need their entire switching and routing infrastructure to keep up too, otherwise it's be QoS-ed to a much lower speed during peak periods.
yes i think peak hours will be an issue. Starhub turn down when i suggested it the first time and refer to management for review when i suggested again. I hope i can see it in 5 years time. :)

Singtel is basically saying 50Gbps XGS-PON Fibre internet services as well as devices and applications will be widely available in 2029 to 2031.

Wow, that is really faster than I have expected.

Let's see if this will really become the truth in 2031/2032.

But no need to worry, I tend to think 10Gbps Fibre Internet will still be there in 2032, but just it will be the base plan.
