Can really feel the emotion when visiting the Peace Memorial Park. Shows the horror of nuclear weapons and why we should never even attempt to use those weapons again.

very insightful visit to the museum
really cannot take peace for grant

i see the video wall with the faces of the pple who died and the database to search their names
damn heart aching
Is not just about taking peace for granted.

Is also to make sure that the vigilance is kept to ensure peace stays, because when politicians come up with any harebrained schemes to appeal to the baser human instincts of greed and power to align with a genocidal dictator, its in the interest of all to call them out.

But it left out the horror of the samurai swords used to behead Chinese in Nanjing.

It also left out the horror of infamous Unit 731.

Went before to this Hiroshima park. The Japs portray themselves as the victim while totally wiping out what caused it in the first place.

I think your interpretation's a little skewered - no one's trying to portray themselves as the victim in an Atomic Bombing. In fact, even my 10yr old kid who's got both perspectives (from Japan's POV and Singapore's POV) understands from the visit that the only victims out of any war are folks who get caught in the crossfire.

There's no war without victims, regardless which side they are on - invaders or defenders. That is all. The ones who perpetuate it are the politicians. That is all.
