my 24 mth Plan HomePac 500 Mbps is up for recontract til April 2026 at $29+

seeing that now the cheapest basic plan is 3gb is at $32+ with new router.

Anyone still maintain at this old plan? for cheaper pricing after contract period?

Just recontracted 6gbps with free router. Selling the router away later after once it is delivered to me

Effective cost about 29 bucks per month

why don't use? It got Wifi7. What is the router you currently using?

BE805 with Vivo X300Pro has the same mediatek chip, perfect combi
Me?

TPLink Omada, entry level enterprise wifi

Also if I want to change to consumer grade, will go with Asus BT10 also. Still prefer Ai Mesh instead of Easy Mesh especially with wired backhaul.

I also need a mesh inside my bedroom, else signal isn't strong enough for a single unit in my DB box

Just saw M1 Shop Jurong Point has the S$30.90 per month 10Gbps without router offer again for Chinese New Year, just like the Christmas offer. It is supposed to be for new users only.

The website still shows S$34.90 per month now.
https://www.m1.com.sg/home-broadband

Just checked the shop and this limited time offer is still available as of now.

It will probably be gone soon. They have a Mobile offer at 25% OFF monthly plan which will end a few days later on 25 Feb 2026.

Hi shifus, I would need your advice as I am a noob when it comes to networking.

I am currently on a 1Gbps contract which costs ~$40/month, and I am using Asus RT AX-88U router provided by M1. I am looking to recontract and found that M1 has given me some promotion, thus if I recontract on 6Gbps, it would be $37.90/mth for 24 mths, and if I recontract on the 10Gbps, it would cost $ 29.90/mth (without router) for 24 mths.

While it's tempting to get the 10Gbps, I would need a router, so I would need to top up at least $4/mth (for BE230) for a basic router.

I also wonder if I really need the 10Gbps as I barely even stretch the limits of my current plan in terms of bandwidth.

would it be better to recontract to the 6 Gbps plan as it comes with a performance router (BE805/BE92U)? Or would it be good to recontract to 3Gbps and use the basic router (BE230) that comes with it?

I also read that the BE805 is better especially since its wifi is superior to the Asus BE92U, as I primarily connect using wifi, so should I go for the BE805, or an AI mesh solution with the Asus router is better idea?

Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thank you!

1. Does a single router right now provide enough coverage for your house? If yes, just go with single BE805, it is a better router than BE92U in terms of performance.

However, if you need mesh, go with Asus BT10 with wired backhaul. I feel Asus AI mesh is far more superior than easy mesh.

2. I have gone with 6gbps with the free router and sell the free router to offset the recurring cost for 2 years as I have an existing wifi 7 setup and I do not need 10gbps.

However for your case, since you need a router, will suggest you to go with BE805 and a 6gbps plan right now due to the promo. 6gbps with a free and a better router is worth it and it is just 4 dollars more every month compared to the 3gbps when an entry level router

ooh m1 gave u promo to recontract to 10gbps at $29.90 (without router)? that is good though. i would have taken that.

$29.90 + BE805 probably will be $39.90. Just $2 more per month than your 6gbps. $2 x 21 months is only $42. Seems a no brainer to just take the 10gbps?

My contracts ends on end march but my promo given by m1 not as good as yours. its $37.90 as well for 6gbps but for 10gbps its at $34.90
