a lot of ppl trying to switch to other brands from starhub after their stupid star plan , few of my colleagues also trying to but cant

Star plan is not popular from the very beginning.

Let's see if the new Starhub 5G Unlimited+ and 5G Platinum SIM Only plans can be successful or not.

These plans are mostly competing with SingTel 5G+ Enhanced plans and 5G+ Priority plans, and also M1 Bespoke SIM Only plans to a lesser extent.

I know that Starhub is also trying to use the same 5G Unlimited+ and 5G Platinum plans to complete with SingTel/M1 mobile plans with devices contract, through the concept of Device Dollars. Not so sure how that works out though.

Let's see how it goes in year 2026.

not about popular, most ppl on star plans now are people who had all along been with starhub. then they tried out star plan without knowing the prepaid conversion thingy , and when they realize it all just want to escape starhub. so basically starhub is losing a big portion of its loyal customer base because of some stupid thing they had done.

Why cannot? I just switch from star plan to Singtel, no hassle. Been with them for >10 years, got tired of their recent service attitude 🤣
my colleague tried but singtel say cannot find the star plan number tagged to his NRIC/particulars. ask him to go back find starhub first . previously he switched from starhub postpaid to star plan sim only

It's the same for me so I'm surprised Singtel cannot find his number to port over

But to their credit, they listened and discontinued all that Star Plan nonsense, transitioned over to Unlimited+ which seems to have the best of both mvno and mno worlds. Plus Star Plan subscribers can now migrate over to Unlimited+ as well.

then how u managed to resolve it and switch ?

It was the same for me from postpaid to star plan... Arl mentioned there was no issue when I port to Singtel recently. Took abt 3 days, no issue encounter during the process. Just sign up the Singtel line, provide my HP number and Singtel took care of the rest

Agreed, but just a little late, should have acted faster honestly with the immense response and feedbacks on & offline. :s22:

The platinum plan can be quite attractive after 20% off. You basically get $50 each month to buy a device. Today, you can get a S25U from SH at $11xx so basically for $100, you get a higher tier plan and a phone. The upside is the roaming which is useful to me.

IIRC, it runs pretty similar to what ST had where there's vouchers/rebates for those higher plans.
Same game, different names.

Pretty good. I would say it's on par with singtel 5g SA priority plan speed
Noted thanks. so it covers 5G in Spore as 99% advertised on their portal? Can get 5G SA most places? Are they also shutting down 5G NSA soon same as SingTel MVNO? Zym said in March 26....

Honestly why care so much about 5G SA/NSA? Only us nerds here are obsessed with it, and ironically it brings very little benefit to the end user. People here think 5G SA will solve their Singtel mvno congestion issue and they can continue dreaming. Pay mvno peanuts, get mvno congestion.

Just switched to star plan last month and didn't know that Starhub charges an early termination fees for entertainment subscription 😓😨😰 now I'm hit with almost $380 of early termination fees for my HBO and Disney+ subscription as the contract was 24 months and 12 months , not the mobile contract 😑😭 coz these services not applicable for star plan. Zzzzzzz

Hmm, which Star SIM Only Plan?

StarHub no longer offers Star plan to new users as far as I know. Only the following SIM Only plans are offered now.
https://consumer.starhub.com/personal/store/mobile-plans

How do you subscribe to HBO and Disney+? If you use StarHub App to subscribe them as add-ons to your mobile plan (or Fibre Broadband plan), the 24 months contract terms for HBO and 12 months contract terms for Disney+ are clearly stated.

if 5G Unlimited works similar as star plan, then what he say may be true. when u become star plan all the extra plans like disney + , geforce now etc turns into "Coming soon", cannot apply one. but most likely can write in to waive the termination fee ba . if not is dam smelly, should complain to IMDA.
