Those who use digital lock lip lai

Hmmm dont really need… i guess maybe not justified to pay so much more. Which installer do you guys use? I remb there was a recommendation for someone who sold the lock and also installs the lock.

Hi guys, I'm planning to get the Aqara U400 for my main door. There's a gate version for it but it will be much more expensive. Can you all advise the brand and model I should get for my main gate?

Hope any shifus here can advise. I had the lockin s30 pro previously and it more or less working fine but i sold my place.

should i go with lockin v5 max for the next place or stick with s30pro? Anybody got lobang where i can get the cheapest with installation?

• Lockin S30 Pro is simple and nice. I have it too but it is no longer in production (for I think two years now). It's twin brother SV40 with the fingervein recognition is also no longer in production (or sold)
• The replacement model for S30 Pro is the Lockin S5 (basic, no bells and whistles)
• The S6 Max, and then V5 Max has more biometrics options and bells/whistles, for good or for worse.

I like simplicity and AA batteries so I would miss my old model.

If you like a change, for the excitement of a change:

• Try Aqara D200i for face recognition. My brother has it and sings praises for it. I like the build quality and finishing which I get to appreciate when I visit his place.
• Try a Korean lever handle lock for a much lower closing / opening latching metal impact sound discussed just a few posts up. Have a look at the Solity GM-7000.

My go to vendor Interlock (where my S30 Pro was from) is easy to have a discussion. Talk to the technical sales for a deeper discussion on lock features.

If you don't need the UWB (supported on IOS only), perhaps consider the previous version of U400 which is the Aqara U100. The older model is cheaper by at least $150.

If you intend to sync the door and gate, check with vendor if the Aqara U400 on gate opening can trigger unlocking of the (previous version) U100 on the door.

My thought is skipping a restaurant meal or two will cover the difference. Get what you want for everyday use.

Price range is wide from $999 to $100 for main door push pull motise. Classic (Yale/philip) to K Brand ($600) to C brand (Lusano) $350 to unknown (tropernic on Shpee) $150. Features are similar. Those non established brands, how to tell reliability?
