I received the following SMS as of 28/2/26:

Your monthly Maxx base plan is active. Continue to enjoy Base Plan @ $0 as long as you use Maxx. Use Maxx App to manage your account 65xxxxxxxx and indicate your International Incoming Calls preference!

So it seems the revised t/c is not implemented, $0 Base Plan is still status quo.
same just received this sms. 6th month into Base plan now

Have to SMS 1 time /month to keep the line going right? What was the guide again? Call out a few times?
Yup. Either sms, call, or use Abit data to keep the line active .

I only did call 1 minute this month. And it's to my xiaosan - weather hotline

i ported in via online $7.9 in jan

I just received my feb bill, its $0, no charge on my card too

there was a 2nd mth free promo?

i was hoping my plan fails into base actually

if you signed up online, which in your case for $7.90 plan an online exclusive, it will be a recurring plan charges and will not fall into base plan. I remember maxx have a promo of free second month, hence that is why you see no charges for second month.

Maxx Base Plan Promotional Discount

1. Base Plan @ $0 Promotion Discount will be valid till further notice. Refer to the M1 website for the latest update.

2. If the customer registers the Maxx SIM card and does not purchase any Maxx Plan Add-On by the following day, M1 may in its discretion terminate all services and customer’s SIM card.

3. If the customer has not purchased any paid Maxx Plan or Add-On during the past 90 consecutive days or if there is 90 consecutive days of non-usage of Key Services before the 1st day of each month, the (i) promotional discount will be revoked, (ii) customer will be charged for the base plan for the month; and (iii) Key Services will be suspended. For the purpose of Maxx SIM plan, “Key Services” refer to data, outgoing calls and/or outgoing SMS services provided to you.

4. All services and customer’s Maxx SIM will be terminated if customer fails to make payment within 28 days of notification, with the period starting on and including the day on which customer first receives notification on customer’s obligation to make payment for base plan. The customer will have to make payment for the base plan via the M1 Maxx App or M1 Authorized Maxx Retailers.

5. The customer’s Maxx SIM will be reactivated upon making payment for the base plan. Upon re-activation, if the customer still has not purchased any paid Maxx Plan or Add-Ons during the past 90 consecutive days or if there is 90 consecutive days of non-usage of Key Services before the 1st of the subsequent month, the customer will be charged for the base plan for that month.

6. Customer will receive SMS notification for each of the event: (i) revocation of promotional discount, charging of base plan and suspension of Key Services, and (ii) termination of all services and customer’s Maxx SIM before the date of termination.

Purchasing Maxx SIM Base Plan and Add-on via online transaction

7. If customer does not activate the Maxx SIM card within fourteen (14) days from the date of purchase from maxx.sg, M1 may in its discretion terminate the SIM card. No refund will be given.

8. All orders will be delivered between 3 – 5 working days from the date customer submitted his/her order. There is no delivery on weekends and Public holiday.

9. For failed delivery, redelivery may be subject to charges.

10. All payment for charges due from any online transaction (including for recurring payment) for Maxx add-on can only be made via credit or debit card.

Base plan cannot sign up. Need to have a normal plan first, then let it expires after a month, ie dun pay for 2nd month. It will then lapse to base plan.

As of now, the main thing is whether the following clauses will be enforced by M1 Maxx strictly or not.

Based on the recent reports, they are not enforcing the following new terms and conditions.

Looks like the current practice is more in line with the old terms and conditions (Nov 2024 version).

The 4G reception around RP and the HDB blocks there kind of lousy for M1 MAXX.
