I intend to switch from VQ to Eight. I have Asus ROG GT6 mesh. Does anyone know if it will work with Eight?

Eight got booth also? If really 6months free then is better deal than 18% off for switching to Eight mobile plan.

Hope this is available too when i head down tomorrow ! Must go drill the sales person hahaha
At the back of the hall. All red red sure can locate. Next to EERO router booth also got a counter.

Anyone managed to secure 4 months or 6 months free for eight home internet at the IT Show fair?
no such thing for yesterday that i went. I've tried to probe 3 diff promoters (the booth isnt that big anyways, max maybe only 10 promoters or so) on 3 diff occasions, young to mid age, 2 Indians (or at least they look like Indian), 1 Chinese. All say the same thing, no better deal than online, no free 4 5 6 months no such thing. And signing up Eight mobile 5G then get 18% off is better than what they offer in the booth.

maybe 6mth free is only for selected few right at the start of the show on weekday with lesser traffic, if there is 1

anyways even with 18% off, it's already the best price around. I checked out all telco booths, none offer damn good deals than existing ones u see online or in shop. Nothing special at all for fibre broadband in this COMEX

Side note: i went to Starhub booth, and asked why their IT show offer is lousier than what Selina can offer (5gbps with only HB410 router, no voucher), promoter whisper say this good deal not in this IT show, if want the Selina deal can just whatsapp him he can also do the same deal LOLOL

No complaints so far. No downtime and no noticeable performance degradation compared to VQ.
For IPv6, I'm using openwrt.
wan6 interface is dhcpv6 on auto everything.
LAN interface, advanced settings had to enable delegate ipv6 prefixes as well as setting IPv6 assignment length to 64 (as opposed to 56 I think before with VQ).

i've just signed up Eight broadband. 2 things to note

1. As per their official website, 18% off (if u sign up/switch to Eight 5G mobile plan) is actually already ended. But i emailed their CS, and their CS said once i sign up, send them order ID, they'll help to manually change the 88days free promo to 18% off.

2. Above is further confirmed by their sales rep person who whatsapp me (I click sign up all the way to payment page on Sunday and closed browser). The person ask if anything can help, and upon request gave a further discount $10 off 1st bill promo code to key in at the online sign up page, before payment page. (I jokingly ask if got further promo code or referral link cos there's a box to key in before payment page)

Still waiting for Eight svc at west side. Through Eight webcheck still not available.

I also require NLT to install 1 more TP for the Eight bb once available.
Anyone did such and how much? I think $100+ iirc.

18% for the 1st month only leh...

"We’d like to share a quick clarification regarding the promotion. The offer of 18% off the first month, followed by 88 days free (covering the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th month), was valid until 11 March 2026.

Thank you!

Best regards,
Team eight - SC

As for eight service, it should be available across the island, including the west. After all, eight is a wholly owned subsidiary of StarHub and uses StarHub infrastructure.

The reason for my failed online request is due to my TP already have 2 ISP. Emailed them to request for 2nd TP installation. See how this goes.

Eight CSO replied something that I already figured out. They offer suggestions but never offer suggestion to install 2nd tp.

"Hi xxxxxxx,

Based on the latest update from NetLink Trust, both TP ports are currently occupied by other service providers.
Kindly arrange to release the unused TP port with your existing service provider. Once this is completed, you may proceed to sign up with us again.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Best regards,
Team eight - SJ "

1 ISP no more contract but using ONT, the other on CGNAT but still under contract. Since I need non-CGNAT ISP for my use, I can't cancel svc with that ISP, request Netlink to release and reconnect to Eight ISP. The downtime can be almost up to 2 months.

I guess I have to apply direct to netlink myself for 2nd tp 1st. Then sign up to Eight and cancel the CGNAT svc once contract is up. At least I can jump ship to any ISP if price is right with 4 ports I'll have soon.
