FYI, I put in termination request cause I wanted to switch provider as I found MR pricing not that competitive.

They offered this plan which I took.

  • Internet Plan: Recon2508 - 10Gbps - 24m - OTC$0 - RD$699 - TP-Link HB710 10Gbps Broadband - $33.99 .
  • Selected Router Model (if any): Router - TP-Link HB710 - $0.
  • Monthly Subscription: $33.99.

Currently no internet. Yishun area. Ont showing red under fail. Off and on back Ont still the same.

Removed fiber cable from Ont end and notice there are no laser red light from the cable connector end.

Changed a new fiber cable to test and after connecting one end to terminal point on the wall(unplugged the original fiber cable),also no laser red light at the other end of cable. Means incoming issue?

Today weekend and no answer when contacting MR hotline. May need to wait till Monday to get in touch with them.

Anyone facing issue?

Hi MR troopers,

Would like to know your thoughts on whether MyRepublic is still the best broadband option to sign up for in terms of price and value? I do game casually game like POE/POE 2 etc.

Would like to get your views on this. Just went for the CEE 2016 there is a gamer plan
39.99/mth for 6 months and 59.99 for the next 18 months. With router of TP-Link Archer BE805 10Gbps Router.

Thanks alot for the recommendation/views from you guys.

Yup, works great. Whether MR's offer provides better value, you need to compare with the current CEE promos.

long time MR subscriber here (think since their beginning, almost)

remember switching from StarHub but now it does seem like the other ISPs are more competitive in terms of pricing - be it StarHub, M1 or even eight and Simba

was really thinking about eight but when I think about the (lifetime) StaticIP add-on that I have with MR, I'm not sure if it's worth giving up.

just wondering what are some of your considerations for staying (or if switched out and came back)

still using the old Asus AC88U too lol
EDIT: just saw the posts directly above mine but yea, wondering why some of you chose to stay on despite the perceived better value from other ISPs

I am not using MR but I can think of two points why people stay with MR.
1) Better routing. Beating all others when it comes to China routing, especially MR gamer plan. MR Gamer plan is also leading overall.
2) Static IP add-on. Good for some power users.

From what I mentioned in the sticky thread.

wow. thanks for this! I totally missed the sticky thread. I went with M1 due to sign-up bonus for my own place. my parents' place still on MR and it has honestly been very reliable.

do you happen to have anything for eight as an ISP?
