carrefour more for supermarket, jusco more for shopping. yes, things are not as cheap, but i still go in maybe once a month, a short getaway from singapore. parking is only 1RM. Food is cheaper than shopping centers in spore :)

if you take the public bus, you would actually pass carrefour on your way to jusco tebrau city.

carrefour is a standalone supermarket, so go there only if youre driving in and want to shop for groceries or else cannot carry everything home.

jusco tebrau city is quite a big mall, and much more interesting than city square.

got dunkin, cinema (RM10), Mango, CK Jeans, Topshop, La Senza, arcade, Quiksliver, Padini, kettler etc.

Dun leave the mall too late, cos getting to the bus stop to get the bus back to customs, the route is quite dark and deserted.

Is it safe to go there with GF only?
won't be very dangerous.
the most dangerous for me so far are taxi touters and even so, they are not really dangerous.
just be careful with your bags, the sling types, or any thing that can be easily snatched - like in singapore

yes... 77 188 and 205 terminate at Tiram. 6B 41 and 227 terminate at KT, but will pass by tiram. :s12:

JB is safe unless u walk in small lanes or places that attract snatch theif

as for Jusco kerbau, I drove there last sat.. easy to find as mentioned earlier on on this thread.

RM1 park whole day (if u memeber its free.. memeber $RM12 a yr with some store discount so worth it if u go there often to shop).

Then great for kids also.. those joy rides only RM1 and all the machine from Japan.. so quite cute .. unlike spore one where the good onces cost SGD2 per ride.

eat cheap also.. but shop not really that cheap .. u hv to dig ard to find better bargains.

overall, a whole day affair they wont cost u as much as u going to a spore shopping ctr yet u eat more and buy more and play more !!

There are 3 Juscos in JB. There is one at Permas Jaya, and another at Taman Universiti. For the one at Permas, just go along Jalan Wong Ah Fook (road in front of City Square), at the Y-junction, take the right-most road, and look for the sign that says Permas. You will eventually cross a fairly long bridge that spans a river. Just drive along and you will see the Jusco soon enough.

i found those 3 mentioned Jusco on the map. hopefully it helps :s12:
