CVT is a type of transmission, not engine technology.
With proper maintenance, engines are built to last a long way to go...
*Except the premature 10 year life expectancy in SG hor...hahaha...

20k? I heard it was 40k?

40k is under normal driving condition. Singapore's traffic condition is classified as extreme driving condition due to the frequent start-stop traffic and short distance driving. So 20k is recommended for such extreme driving conditions.

Bought from PI?

Just follow the servicing schedule is sufficient.

yes PI, so normally the workshop will remind us what to change unless we want to do it early ? so for normal situation it should be about 40k then change the cvt fluid loh?

Normally 40k.
But as CVT is not as robust as 4/5AT at the moment, many do a "drain-and-fill" at 20k since gearbox replacement is v costly.

if can afford, try to change slightly b4 20k km.

heard of several older version jazz GD versions having cvt probs despite changing every 20k km religiously.

10k seems hardcore to me so prob 15k km if you can.

my friends GD1 5 yr old 1xxk km cvt gearbox still gg strong.
but he changes its like 10k km since abt 50k km.

not sure if its really needed but then again, i think its worth the cost to maintain as overhauling that cvt box will go into the region of 1+ k to 2k.

No need to flush. Just drain and top up with genuine Honda CVTF or HMMF.

can use other brand other than from honda because dunno my workshop have these or not, also between cvtF and hmmf which one can last longer before the next change? roughly how much for the cvtf and hmmf?

Better not as Honda CVTF or HMMF are specially formulated for Honda's CVT only. If your workshop doesn't have, why not buy from stockist and bring the fluid to your workshop next time? CVTF should be about $40 while HMMF is about $80.
