esso privilege 5% discount (actually it's citibank cc 5% discount) is in addition to the 5% station discount.
it's a cash discount, meaning if u pump $50, u pay $45.

this $45 is charged to your dividend card. when u receive ur statment, u will get $45*5%=$2.25 rebate.

there is no diff if u swipe EPC or Dividend. but sometimes when there is promotion like discount coupons, you have to swipe EPC. coupon cannot be used with dividend.

thank you for the explanation

Which credit card has the best discount for petrol?

Safra Card + Maybank cards or Citibank Dividend mastercard/Visa = 17% discount for caltex

12% discount from Safra card and 5% cash back from Maybank cards and Citibank Dividend Mastercard/Visa

for Esso Privilege Card users...how do you check the rebates that you have earned?

Will i be able to see it on Citibank online account?

I top up petrol at shell and pay by UOB platinium one visa, just receive my credit card statement and check that there is no 5% rebate at all.. No more promotion or nothing wrong at all.If like that, then next time i will pump caltex using OCBC titanium.

you wont see the rebates in your statement as it's in SMART$ rebates.

DBS Esso card or get the Smiles card also card. I got to know that
when few times forgot to pass the Smiles card to cashier and she
said the points were credited to the DBS Esso card. When want to redeem,
can combine the points with both cards.

use safra (12% I think) + citi dividend (5%) : CALTEX

if u use safra card for the 11%, you will not be eligible for the Caltex rewards points already..:(

anyway, i always pump on Sundays @ Shell..coz uob got promo (double $smart on sundays)..but dunno promo until when..
