Yeah, manhattan normal card is for those who hasnt had job yet I think (target mainly student).

If you get that one, then yes: its not worth it.

Get the manhattan platinum, its much better, especially for big purchase.

Actually, UOB Singtel card also quite good. I have both but end up using UOB more often.

If you a small spender (less than $500 amonth), both rebate amounts are the same, 0.5%. UOB's will credit the rebate into next month's bill and offset yr ST bills whereas for Manhattan, they'll credit it in only 3mths later or per quarter (can't remember which).

Both got its own useful benefits though.

i google for their card n this is what i saw

The cashback is available only at Supermarkets and Departmental Stores. Supermarkets are defined as a large self-service retail markets that sell food and household goods. Departmental stores are defined as retail establishments which specialize in selling a wide range of products including apparel, household items, personal accessories etc, without a single predominant merchandise line.

That means if i buy from those individual boutiques, no 5% discount liaoz ah? Thanks

then its like max $300 per transaction rebate?!?

Hi, so for the ST UOB card is it for every purchase regardless of paying bills online and making retail transaction you will get the smart$ to offset your ST bills? and also do the sub card spending get the smart$ to offset yr ST bills too?

Yes, as long within a month can reach certain amount: $1500 to get 3%, $3000 to get 5%.

It can be like:
- Scenario 1 - Month 1: Spend $1500, $1500 -> Get 5%
- Scenario 2 - Month 1: Spend $1500 -> Get 3%, Month 2: Spend $2000, $1000 -> Get 5%

But total rebate for a quarter cant be more than $300

Main and sub card number are different.

But their monthly statement as well as iBanking clubbed both transaction together under main account and this is very hard to see.

I had called them and they are saying it is currently how its being set up and I had left a feedback for them to follow up to management to get it splitted up.

Maybe you can call them too and ask about this bill split up too?
The more people asking about it, definitely they will work on it? :)

That $50 is credit bonus when you open the account.
Yeap - based on anything (except few items: annual fee, etc2).

Read on the T & C.
