you have to scout the people you want to work with early =/ and if possible start to brain storm way before the module even start because we will not have the same 1 year as the rest have only somewhere around 8 months

GAM 100 is project introduction, i think BSGD doesn't have that much project modules as compared to RTIS..
According to the course sequence, if the changes are not gonna be significant, BSGD only has project modules at sem 7 and 8. (FYP - last 2 sems)
RTIS has almost 1 project module each sem..

From what i understand, RTIS's project modules seems to be relative, like step by step procedures to bring us to the completion of our final project..
Whereas BSGD can choose over individual as i recalled, which was why partly I chose BSGD initially.. Due to the unhappy group project experience in SP =p
Or, BSGD students can choose to collaborate with RTIS students as designers or level designers for the FYP..

actually i was told BAGD is catered for the weaker in academic lots who wanted to get in BSGD (by the interviewer; please do not take it personally).. therefore, if you can get in BSGD, it's highly possible that you can get in BAGD.. and with that GPA, you pretty much can get in to any course in DigiPen (for 2010 batch - my batch; not sure for the next coming batch)..

you're referring to the "outdated" calendar.. look at this if you applied for the recent admission.. it's only recently that they opened it for Jan 2011 admission.. refer to this link: http://www.singaporetech.edu.sg/undergraduate-programmes/
the Aug 2011 admission's application starts on Feb/March 2011..

Think different interviewer had different view, mine told me that BAGD is for people that are more inclined to arts then programming. Not that it matters alot, i think its really about interest and about what you really want. For me Despite the interviewer suggesting me to transfer to RTIS i stay put into BSGD because thats what i really wanted... And i agree that the chances are there for BAGD so do go for it =D Good luck for the upcoming intake

my interviewer is sort of hinting i should get RTIS, but still advised me to stick with my interest.. i wanted programming more so in the end, i chose RTIS.. and yea he mentioned BAGD is more of arts but this course was started with the basis of catering for those who likes game design but is not as academically well compared to those of BSGD.. excluding those who prefered arts more of course..

could be something like that as well judging from both our experience... either u love arts or u are trying to find an alternative to get into the game industry =/
