I don't know about shirts, but for my wedding, my husband went to Rossi to do his suit.

Tux Shirt
Tux Suit
Vest
Tux Pants

Total: $1000

They have a few branches, and they do shirts as well. The shop (we went to millenia walk) was quite crowded whenever we went, so I guess they should be quite popular.

Will be going to bangkok next month. Any good tailors there to recommend?

Whenever I go to bangkok, I must always go to make my clothes at Jhasper Fashion. Satisfied with them as they give good fit and good cloth. good value for money too!

Anybody can recommend me a tailor that can alter casual shirts (tapering in the width and sleeves) and sewing back with a felled seam finish?

So the sides of the shirt where they join should look like this...

Not sure if TET can do this... help!

Anyone knows where I can go to alter a jacket?
I'm very skinny, need to make it more slim fit....

Will the conventional tailor in the market do a good job?

Any help much appreciated! :)

I know meng yee alteration at far east is able to do it but you have to indicate that you want it back in felled seam. As for tet you can call to ask but i know if you do not request it specially he'll just do the f up kind of hemming(at least thats what he did to my jeans).

Any review on Mohan's Custom Tailors & Ehkay Corner Tailors?

tailored from ehkay corner , aka , my singapore tailor last year ard june.
They over charge for cheap material. Push u to spend more. And the fitting was really bad. After a few months went back to alter 2 shirts which i tailored from them earlier because i lost sum weight and they charged me 50 bucks per shirt just to alter!!!!!! i can spend abit more buy a new shirt!!!

This is like a 200+ pages thread now thot I save time for newbies and share my 2 cents on all the tailors I tried.

Dreamland - my current fave. Aunty is attentive and give suggestions. Also got a lot of nice samples. Svc good, tailoring also not bad. Designs good.
CYC - good but ex and not super arty fancy (read: can be quite plain designs), requests like change of buttons are not chargeable. v good svc
JL - not bad. reasonable cloths, and pricing. but his design input dun suit my tastes.
Mens Tradition - cheap and not bad. but v v bz. not much attention given to u or consider ur input. and fitting a bit too tight. good if u slim.
Clothesmith - good and can be arty but requests like change of buttons are chargeable. Would continue w them if it wasn't so pricey
Marcella - cheap, but limited cloths. not much recommendation in design
Maharajas - the worse experience, cheap but din get mine or fren's measurements and cutting right.

For my fave alteration place, Bishan central. Beside S-11, corner shop facing J8

Tips: Unless u can take the risk and loss, do research first - Ask Mr Google for advise, ask ur frens.
then try one first, if u ok, then try more the next round.
If u want cheaper and good tailoring, do ur research, go BKK and tailor lots of shirts there!

Ok bro so lets say my main priority is 1st quality (in terms of comfort level of the material and fit), 2nd design and lastly price, which one would you recommend? Seems like clothsmith is my match?

I advise you to buy off the rack, etc g2000. at least still can buy a few.

You could't possibly wear only 1 shirt thr out the intern right?:)

I recommend Mode Et Creation at Far East Shopping Centre. The tailor Anthony, serves and tailor the clothes himself. His service is great and isn't pushy at all. He carries quite a large range of fabrics as well, including Zegna cloths.

I've also heard of Just Men's in Tanglin Shopping Centre. I know a few friends who do their shirt and pants there and said that they have good workmanship. But they're abit more to the pricier end.
