jo will be a good capture. he is still young. D.O.B 1987.

Hmm high wages + hasn't been able to prove that he is able to produce in the physical EPL. Besides, he's not exactly the kind of striker who can hold the ball well so I dont think he's going to be a good target for us.

Boo boy "bemused":
Tw*t tweets

After his poor reception at Gallowgate on Tuesday, poor misunderstood Michael Owen chose to bellyache via a social networking site as follows:

"Got poor reception off the home fans which was disappointing. Was desperate to score! Knew I would get booed, as that’s what a lot of fans do, but if they knew the facts then they may have a different opinion.

"From what most of you Newcastle fans are saying you should be pleased I left the club! If I had known that earlier I could have left sooner!

"For the record I tried my best in every game for Newcastle. Under KK I played well and I’ll never forget the 2 I scored against Sunderland.

"When I meet Newcastle or Liverpool fans they all respect what I’ve done for their clubs. In stadiums it changes, 1 boo and the rest follow.

"By the way I’m not looking for sympathy. As long as my family don’t boo me when I walk through the door I couldn’t care less!!!”

"Tried my best in every game" is an interesting phrase, but the source of our ire remains those games when he didn't actually make it on the field of play - or did so with apparent reluctance....

dunno real or not..

anyways... facts were that he was always injured... but magically got well near any national qualifiers... at which he would come out injured again...

so.... oh well... and he could have left us with some transfer money... but left on the free instead...

He can say whatever he wants but facts are facts. He never lived in newcastle, always took his heli to n fro his house to training/matches from cheshire. Was always more interested in playing for England than for us (always injured when with us than suddenly well enough to play for England and return to us injured again). On the field, has to be the worse Toon captain ever. Lacked motivation and even Ameobi pales in comparison when compared to his lack of any work rate.

if we can field ameobi/best/lovenkrands/ranger i dun see why we should not get him. He should be virtually a free transfer (since we are helping man city reduce their wages)

+ he has afro hairstyle which is quite cool. :s12:

There will be a statue of him 50 years down the road alright...

In front of Medical Research Facilities for his major contribution as a test subject in sports medical research titled "How an athlete can be injured more often than actually doing sports."

well nolan will take his place

S Ireland can play in central midfield too, that is where he flourish when playing for Man City. We are spolit for choice in that area - Tiote, Nolan, Guthrie, Ireland and even Barton when Arfa is back. Really hope we can win 2nite and send them back to drink Cola...:D

Hopefully the return of Nolan will get us some much needed goals against the defensively inept Blackpool. A win would definitely secure our premier league status for the next year. HWTL! :D
