hey guys. i just want to ask. i enlisted as a PES E NSF but it's only temporary for 3 months. but after 3 months, they didnt call me up to ask me go for my PES status review. so i ord-ed with a PES E status. but on the day of my ORD FFI, the MO told me that i am required to go back to my camp for PES status review and said they will call me up. but till now, 4 months after ORD, i still did not receive any call from them.

till now, when i check the ns.sg portal, i'm still listed as PES E but there clearly states that my PES status expired on 15 March 2009. should i call them up in case i will get into trouble with MINDEF? or i just siam away? cos from what i know, if u are eligible to do IPPT and if siam, then it's a chargeable offence.

thanks for your advice guys!

if they wan review u they will auto send u so called saf100, unless u self volunteer to book medical review.

else staying in pes E excuse u from ippt even if expired.
or unless if u do medical review u still can get c2 and below, then its safe for u from ippt.

I would advice you to just call your unit or the hotline.
Recently I booked a medical review due to an injury, they handled it quite fast and my down pes was effective within a month of the medical review.

I see. I thought his PES review would mean a conversion to another non-ippt pes since he was PES E.
Thanks for the clarification.

Does the ns website state your current pes for guys that never down-pes and are combat-fit? Cos I also ord with temp c2, and that's all the ns website shows, me having a record of pes c2 but expired. It doesn't say anything about my current pes.

because they cant up pes u without going for medical review with your unit MO.
its ur S1 side or CAC side to issue u with saf100 for medical review.

unless u want down pes, then u can self book medical review for MO to review ur medical case.

in this case, those who may not get perm excuse ippt, as well just keep quiet on ur expired temp pes(c2 and below) status which is excused ippt.
with that pes, u wont be eligible in taking part in ippt till medical board upgraded u to ippt eligible pes.

ns portal under health show ur pes status, cos combat fit also can get storeman etc, lucky fellow mah.
compared the differences :

PES : xx Lx
Effective From : xx/xx/2011 Expiry Date : Permanent

I have check & confirm that:

If you call your unit to arrange a medical review, your unit must issue you SAF100 & you are paid to attend the medical review.

If you call medical centre to arrange a medical review, you will not be issue SAF100 & this mean you are not paid to attend the medical review.

Please do the correct way & don't waste $.

even last min also can request them issue saf100?

cos for self initiated online is through ns portal which will not be paid.

Call your unit to arrange or during ICT ask your S1/chief clerk to arrange for you.

They only needs to give you 2 months in advance for call-up activities of 1 day or less.

If you agree with it, they can even give you 1 day advance notice which I kenan before few days notices of SAF100 for 1/2 day NS briefing.
