If i were to take thai guide, i would understand 0.001% :) According to Richard, seems like song teow goes there...

I thought of going to santuary of truth when I was in Pattaya few months ago. However I have this impression that it's still under renovation, though can't remember where i gather that info from... It's another massive project...

yes it's 2 tier fare system. 200B / local adult & 400B for foreigners. but these r vanilla tix.

we booked d package tix @ 200B + 50B /pax. d package includes free tram ride with a thai tour guide. & also includes free usage of bicycle in d park. i paid d thai price bcos i'm with all thai frens. if i were 2 pay foreign price, i'll b assigned 2 join d rest of d tourists which i'm reluctant 2 do so.

i'm not suggesting dat we shld cut corner. cos by paying thai prices, in return we get everythin in thai. i mean d tour guide & d printed materials. unless u speak/understand thai language fluently, i wld advise against it. cos i cld only understand 10-20% wat d guide said. :(

it's diffcult 2 say if it is worthy 2 pay d 400B (+100B for d package). as i mentioned earlier, d park is a mixed bag, imho. sum structures r marvellously reproduced but a few r quite a let down. especially 4 ppl who had been 2 angkor wat or d like, u may need 2 adjust ur expectations accordingly.

the l8 K'Lek & his descent created 3 wonders in thailand. i'd rank them as such,
1 the santuary of truth (my fav)
2. erawan museum
3. muang boran

Yes, 2thiaw does go to Muang Boran fr "Paknam market" which is in Samut Pakan. :) juz dat they don ply inter-province routes.

d santuray of truth is still under construction. we last visited them abt 3 or 4yrs ago which was only 80% complete! still we were jaw-dropped when saw it for d 1st time. it's a masterpiece.

Hi,

I m actually planning to stay at Tango Vibrant. I saw that the nearest station from Tango is the Ratchaprapon Station (which is 1 of the airport city line). Any 1 here stay in Tango Vibrant and travel via the city line to the hotel? Or m I suppose to take to Phaya Thai Station and transfer back to Chit Lom Station n walk to Tango? Thanks. :D

yes dat's Thipsamai. d 7/11 is at the corner of a soi (street).
'Sao chin cha' is the Thai word 4 Giant Swing which is in front of Wat Saket. if u walk along d small soi of d mentioned 7/11, at d end of dis soi u'll see saochincha on d left and BMA (Bkk cityhall) on ur right.

cut across d square in front of BMA, u arrive @ a small road called Th. Dinsor. there is a very famous Thai cafe along dis rd called Mont Nom Sod (i.e. Mont fresh milk). they served the best kaya toast in Bkk.

tried hanging ard d BMA square in d evening @ ard 4+pm. d sunset view is breathtaking (provided it doesnt rain) & i luv d peaceful old world charm there. :)
wah chius know yr bkk very wells mens. just describe like tat only u can
pinpoint the name area liao.

i been there b4 but totally cannot appreciates the area.
only like the pad thai stall only at nites.
not a morning/noon person ... in fact when come to bkk only
went to the scenic/historic areas once many years ago.

yup just take the city line
no point paying so much more for the express which don't bring you there
when you alight at patchaprapon, cross the road and walk along the main road
it's about 5 min or less walk to tango vibrant :D
