tough...for those who cover wide range of topics they will manage but for those who focus only on calculations...can only pray that they pass.

yah man! i memorise all the calculations but came out all theory-based kind of qns.... really tough! somemore too many qns le... no time to finish... sigh

For the ECO201 exam yesterday, same here. I really had no time attempting the questions.This is my resit paper. Seems like the exam paper differs from the exam specimen paper and the study unit practices. Hopefully, I don't need to retake the module again. didnt notice the time when doing the paper. Feeling very disappointed.

i wonder why the lecturer even post a specimen paper when the format and style is totally different...apart from regression and production costs, the rest of the topics are pretty much wide spread.
on the specimen paper it did mentioned that one should only spend 30 mins on each question, those i don't know how to do, i just skip.
damn should have draw the long run perfect competitive market diagram...at least can get some marks out of 8.

sometimes i wonder why is this module even considered e-learning in the first place...db is pretty much useless, having the quiz would be more useful.

HRM201 paper was quite tough. Anyone know since when did SIM adopt an open book style format for FIN303? I look at the past year papers and it's quite easy for an open book style.

FIN303 has the highest failure rate..... >30%? not so sure
but i have lots of friends (hardworking type) fail this....

all finance papers are open book, starting from last year.
and i get the feeling the method of open book exams tends to be more indirect and it will test your level of understanding to the core.

i'm also from finance but after the horrors of econs...i'm planing to do a TOP to facilities and events management.
good luck to all finance students.

my friend also taking portfolio management...he say this module is a killer, he spent the whole week revising this paper.

what is the purpose of pass yr paper?

it is to tell you what has been tested and they will not repeat themselves!

what is the purpose of specimen paper?

it is to encourage and trick you into believing, the module is not that difficult after all!!
