Lol while I agree that the Cinebench leak looks good (somebody on XS forum was even claiming it's a 6-Core variant:eek:), I think it's best not to get our hopes up. It might still be fake though :/

Might as well say its a AMD 4XXX even better. :D :D :D

Seems like all the non-official benchmarks are bringing in good results for bulldozer..Wonder when will AMD release their BD specs officially.

I think it will be launched in June right? I am not betting on BD to be faster than SB in single threaded environment but as long as its priced competitively its ok with me.

So far the rumors I seen are that it will be launched during Computex. Hard or soft is anyone's guess.

Soon we will be entering month of june but still yet to hear any news from AMD on the much anticipated bulldozer.....

Intel at the same time is shrinking fast on the die size and advancing real fast on the technology's front

AMD's forever in catching up game.....

If this bulldozer failed, we can say bye bye to AMD....coz the current intel SB is just too strong for its price vs performance ratio!

AMD, haiz.....:o:o

Does anyone know when bulldozer is going to start shipping for real?

I read somewhere off the net that it's only in the 2nd half of june...I wonder when it will reach the shores of our sunny island...

Just would like to understand

Will the new AMD 970 chipset bottleneck USB 3.0 performance when using with SATA 3 (6.0) ?

Do i have to get higher end 990X or 990fx chipset

Actually the same source (Donanimhaber ) leak PC Vantage and hence 'per core performance' of BD > SB also the one leak alleged pricing scheme but all in the air still so.....:s13:

Since 2008 AMD mobos had moved fully to PCIe gen 2.0 so even those via add on PCIe SATA/USB 3.0 card no bottlenecks and SB850 has seen AMD move to native SATA 6GB/s and both Intel/AMD have no chipset with native USB 3.0 implementation with NEC controller the likeliest suspect :D

edit: native USB 3.0 support for FM1/Llano chipset not 100% sure hehe

I have one more question...

970 and 990X have the same total number of PCI-E lanes?

The difference is 990X can SLI/Crossfire (8X, 8X) while 970 cannot....

Am I right to say that?

Quad BD rumor price is more expensive than i5 2400...that is not a good start. BD 4 int +2 fp cores vs SB 4 int +4 fp cores.

BD lineup does look weak in the mid-low price/perf range that SB has. It is hard to beat a i5 3.8ghz + biostar/intel p67 combo. Intel original P67 is now available at Bell for $185! Covered with 3 years Intel warranty and driver support, that is value that pips even Biostar!
