alrite guys! I have juz submitted my application for BHERP, see you in class! :D

what does the above means? is u pay $500 means confirmed you are accepted?

Ok if your application is approved, you will receive a provisional offer and paying $500 is to "chop" your seat in the course. A final offer will then be sent to u by nov for u to finalise everything b4 mid dec. The $500 will also be used to offset ur 1st sem sch fees lor.

How u find it so far? Do you think it will help in a future career in ERP environment?:look:

can be quite stressful cos it is a direct honours program so no matter how poorly you perform, you will have to waste the time and money to thru the honours modules. you cannot say you just want the basic degree and pay less so in order to make the extra time and money you spent on the honours modules worth it, you have to score well on everything.

also the business modules and the IT modules work very differently...

for business side, the final exam weightage is 50%, 30% is from group based project and the last 20% is from either the discussion forum or online quiz.

for IT side, final exam 70%, solo project 21% and online quiz 9%.

you also have more modules to study and need to pay more.

and there is no link between the business modules and the IT modules, it is as if you are concurrently doing 2 totally different degrees, very similar to those biz-IT diploma that the poly offers. i can relate cos i did biz-IT during my poly.

Thanks for the heads up:) Guess lots of sacrifices have to be made. Anyway no pain no gain. Any idea what is the criteria to be awarded the honours?

if i not mistaken, the money you recently paid is like a deposit so as to chop your place.

then the confirmation letter is to tell you if you really want to come unisim study (ie. not withdrawing your application), then pay the remaining miscellanous/administrative "school fees".

that is a one time only payment.

then unisim will let you choose your modules but you are not guaranteed that you will get to study all the modules you choosen cos of limited slots.

then finally another letter will come telling you that this are the modules that you have choosen and managed to get in and you will have to pay for those modules only.

then for subsequent sem, you go online choose and only pay for what you managed to get in.

done OB, the two java, the two math, ICT219, ICT220, done the two accounting, done COR160 and GSP165.

currently doing stats, management, marketing mix management, ICT321 and COR167.

as for difficulties...

can be quite stressful at times cos while other ppl can simply settle for just a pass for their modules, you have to score really well cos it is a direct honours program.

and it can be pretty annoying if you happen to have group members in group based assignment team that is not doing his share of the assignment at 100% cos he is simply contend with a pass.

apart from that, IT and biz are like two sides of a coin, totally different and no link with each other. the grading criteria, the projects and even the knowledge itself is totally different and no link with each other.

sometimes it feels as if you are actually doing two seperate degrees concurrently.

those that have done some biz-IT diploma in poly should be able to understand what i am talking about.

We got the e-mail.

I read your previous post and you said you're going for your interview this Friday. So you'll probably hear from them in about 2-3 weeks. That's about the time I waited.

Don't worry.

As long as you get the letter after the interview (I think it should be the same cases for people who pass the interview), you will get in. But if you got the letter after your interview and you haven't heard from them for at most 3 weeks, then you can try calling them.
