Hi,

Does anyone has the last and latest playsmartsg ultimate firmware for Himedia hd300a and make it available as a download? It's been a long while since I visited playsmartsg site and found that it's no longer available. Thanks.

By the way, how do you guys watch 迅雷看看? I have installed the DIY firmware 1.0.4.8 by 郑州神码 in here but I can't seem to find the 迅雷看看 in IMS. Any advice is appreciated. Do I need to press any special button? Thanks.

Dear HD300A users,

There are 1.0.4.6 (himedia cn site) and 1.0.4.8 (uploaded by 1185-max) firmwares out there.

What is the difference and it is better to use the one from himedia site?
Beside concern about stability, I'm also concern that the firmwares may be in Chinese menu only.

Appreciate any advice!

i'm using the 1185-max, its stable but the streaming isn't that smooth, after 10 mins or so, it starts to jitter. not too sure if its a fw issue. may try the 1.0.4.6 original version when free.

for 1185-max, u can always change in setup to display menu in english. hope this helps.

Is PPS working on the 1185-max version? what is your configurations - HDD, BB speed?

http://code.google.com/p/1185-max/downloads/detail?name=install.zip&can=2&q=

I'm using this one but don't expect it to fix the PPS issue.. I have searched high and low but still have not found a consistent cause and solution to the problem.

http://code.google.com/p/1185-max/downloads/detail?name=install.zip&can=2&q

I just installed the same new version a few days ago. It is as stable as the original version I had but with much more online streaming options.

One thing to note is that after the installation, the default core is 1.0.4.8. I have to change it to 1.0.4.6 else all the movie streamings with MMS have no sound.

It is quite easy to change the core (it has 3 cores), just scroll down to the end when you are at the internal channel.

I have tested PPS, PPTV, 迅雷Xunlei, LeTV. All working fine.

Highly recommended.

Hi all,

I have install the alternate version with pptv. Streaming sucks, buffeting every few seconds. Anyone have this issue? I am using starhub 16mbps wired.

Would appreciate if anyone could help me resolve this.
