Hi.. need some help..

I tried to update the firmware and it failed. After that, the screen is black and no matter how I tried to start it, it fails. i have tried to reset too but not working too. The screen is black and does not power up.

I also tried to do the firmware update again but nothing happens. If I remember correctly, there should be NO sound when you plug into the PC until you press the ON button 6 times and then the system will recognize it and then go on to update the firmware.

For my case, the moment I push in the USB (while holding on the VOL+ button), immediately can the "windows USB connect sound" (not sure if I can explain it well).. and then nothing happens..

The usb driver sometime corrupts easily. If don't work, maybe u really bricked it. Were you doing something else when flashing? or Novo7A below 50% battery?

so this 1.8B2 is much smoother compare to 1.8UI (with removed ADW)?
mine come with 1.7 so don't really know battery on 1.6.. does it mean better battery life? and i read 1 bro said the memory free is much better too.. ??

1.8B2 is more like a minor firmware upgrade version of 1.8T. 1.8UI is attempting to make Novo7A UI looks better.

So if you like 1.8T, you should have no problem with 1.8B2. Memory stays above 160+MB when I do a task kill. Battery difference I doubt you find much difference unless you really try to do testings.

I was not doing anything else...

I just tried to flash again using 1.7.2 and now it worked.. thank god...

Perhaps my copy of the 1.8 B2 is bad?

I remember when i 1st brought it, i flash to 1.7.2..(however, with charger)
Normally, it might not have enough "nrg" o reboot and othe rstuff

Documents to Go. IIRC, 1.7x and 1.8T still have as it was in Novo7A standard package

even when using charger? and u know when i open the livesuit, do i click no first then manually select the image file by clicking the first icon?

Just tested Asphalt 6 (SGS2 edition) on 1.8B2 all works well I think it runs smoother compared to 1.8T.

Edit: Any bro use sgshop service? My Uzone F0C now at their China warehouse, normally how long will it take before I can see my snow white? lol

Do we really need to be on 100% battery when we update the firmware ?

Edit : ok, will update next FW on 100% to reduce risk of bricking

No need 100% battery lah, but should be above 50%. Reason is China tablets/phones battery hard to say one.

Suddenly it decides to discharge very fast for no good reason, at least you know got enough battery to complete the firmware update.

edit: BTW the battery % not accurate on Novo7A hor. I was doing 1 test, it drained from 36% to 18% in 1/2 hr. 18% to shut down almost 1hr^^;

50% of the reason why I bought this, is due to the specs, the other 50%, is due to the support from this Thread .

I don't know if China charger is to be trusted also My Novo7A I use my Atrix/Xperia Play charger and a USB data cable I bought in SLS. I don't even trust the data cable they give I'm skeptical.

lol heard stories of China charger killed the phone/tablet or usb cable burnt. Imagine u charge overnight, suay suay you get a lemon. I don't want to roasted

Ya. Whenever flashed new firmware best to select format the tablet option, cos it'll be less problem.

edit: anyway it's easier when bring outstation. just bring 1 charger can use for Novo7A and mobile

trying to do it now with charger connected but all i get after pressing the power button rapidly is a charging picture!
