bought an Asus UX31 basic config. intel i5 with 128gb SSD. $1498 at Best Denki. This one quite standard retail price currently. Didnt find any special promos. Oh yeah, hard disk is from ADATA not Sandisk.
Verdict. Exceptional laptop. Good build quality. But, need alot alot of software update (and software removal) out of the box to get it running optimally.
sentellic. think u already know.![]()
yar, i sorta did, but was just hoping for the best. been waiting for someone to get the perfect combi of adata+elantech.
Just purchased the 128 GB, and received the Sandisk SSD with the ELAN touchpad. I'm a bit concerned with not receiving the ADATA SSD, and considering returning it, but I was wondering if the difference between Sandisk and ADATA would be noticeable and/or significant with everyday usage? Typically I only use MS office programs and statistical software.
7 seconds, +/- .2. I have yet to install any programs though.what is your timing for opening Media Centre on max performance?

re: frozeout - I know, I couldn't locate one for awhile. Went to CompUSA for a shot in the dark, and they had one so I snatched it up.
Nope, not online..got it in person. Called a few stores and one happened to have three so I had them reserve it for me. $1099.
They have retail locations in some states. The store I purchased it from is in Orlando, FL. To my knowledge, $1099 is a fairly typical price for the 128 GB 13.3".
noticed something strange with my screen. Its set at 30% brightness and on balanced power.
when i go from a dark page, internet wise, to a page mostly with whites, for the 1~2 secs, the white page loads with dimmer output, then it will brighten up to my 30% brightness.
anyone encountered?
