Thanks for all the responses guys.
After a long troubleshooting session on the phone with CITS today, the problem was fixed finally. By restarting the hall's network system. Haha. The guy did talk to me stuff about routers not allowed in halls unless project related blah blah though.
Took more than half an hour disabling firewalls and switching LAN cables from my desktop to laptop and I'm glad that finally the stupid problem is solved. The router now is back up and running again.
To caulibeam kor kor, shall I put my router into bridge mode? I've been using router mode since I moved in to Hall 3 since first semester and never had issues until today. Thanks for all the replies guys.

In my opinion, it would be good if they can change the rules to allow routers since most people nowadays have more than one network-capable device and switches aren't allowed in halls.

After one week of mech eng IA, it makes me start to think really hard whether I want to forge a career in the engineering field, especially in Singapore. I work at the Tuas area, and I can probably say 2 of 3 people there are China/India workers. I thought NTU was ulu enough, Tuas right through the ulu-barrier... Even my supervisor also hinted me to think twice about doing engineering in Singapore...![]()
Today I got on one of those fancy new 179 buses - the Volvo Super Olympian with the LCD displays. Almost got my wrist torn off when the bus turn here turn there. The bus was packed, around 5.30 pm ish and I was standing. Am I the only one who feels this
or is this a known thing no one can do anything about? I know 179s usually go fast but the torque on this kind of bus is crazy scary, especially near traffic lights or when the driver spotted zebra crossings or stopped at bus stops.Today I got on one of those fancy new 179 buses - the Volvo Super Olympian with the LCD displays.
