Hi Bro,

Thanks. The CSO say they will send me mailer once approved. have been more than a week, no mailer received. Thanks for your information!! :D
What i did was an internet banking online application for the FT as i am existing user of their PLOC.
If you are applying for PLOC and the FT at the same time, it probably will take a bit longer and also there had been lesser working days the past 2 weeks due to the festive seasons.

Hi All Experts,

Need some help to get some cash fast without paying to much on interest, etcs.. to banks (Layman terms).

Recently apply for SCB Salary Advance but was rejected. I am unable to understand bank products and interest rate, Effective Interest Rate, charges, etcs... I have Amex, UOB, POSB, HSBC Revolution, Citi, Maybank, ANZ, BOC, OCBC.

Please kindly advice me which bank currently have the best promotions?

Thank you all in advances first!!!

UOB - 2.88% PA (baseline is 1.99%?)

POSB => DBS Cashline - 2.88% PA

HSBC CC/PLOC - 1.88% PA

Citibank - 2.88% PA

Maybank - Interest Free with 1.38% PF (min $30K) -
Interest Free with 1.68% PF (min $10K)
Interest Free with 1.88% PF (min $2K)

OCBC (Easicredit)- Interest Free with 1.5% PF (3mths)
Interest Free with 2.5% PF (6mths)
Interest Free with 4% PF (9mths)

SCB - Interest Free with 2.5% PF

*PF = Processing Fee

Anyone else with updates, please share as well. Thanks!

Hi Thanatos_Wraiths,

Thank you so much really appreciate your help.

It seem like OCBC have the best rates now.

OCBC (Easicredit)- Interest Free with 1.5% PF (3mths)

Does this means that only pay to the bank (loan amt + 1.5% PF) on the third month and nothing else?

1) For OCBC easicredit, there is still a min charge of $5 although it is interest free
2) You must pay a min of 3% of ending balance monthly.

No, PF of 1.5% (for 3mth) is worse off than 1.88% from HSBC as your effective interest rate (not adding the min $5 OD charges yet) is higher for the former.

1.5% PF for 3 mths; 12 mths (annually) would be > 6% P.A. and your interest is deemed to had paid upfront even if you are able to do a full settlement before the 3 mth is up.

Your are better off with HSBC's promotion.

I think the most aggressive was ANZ recently...

0% interest with no processing fee for 3 months :)

Arbitrage and made nearly S$80 on interest for 3 months :D

Not really sure what you mean by "Arbitrage and made nearly S$80 on interest for 3 month?"

Is you or the bank make S$80?

Thank you in advances first!

Of course it's me...how can it be arbitrage and I lose money? :s13:

ANZ gave me "free" money, I put into another high interest rate account = instant money :D
