Yes - it's a credit that can be used to offset against your spending...

example u pay $80 to singtel.
so ur singtel acc will have excess $80.

so when singtel bill u, they will offset from $80 till finish then ask u top up.

can use xtrasaver to pay other banks credit card bill?

Hi All, first time here and this is my first post :)

My question: is xtrasaver able to pay other banks' credit card bill?

I asked the standard chartered's hotline. They said cannot. Xtrasaver is only 2% rebate for a RETAIL transaction.

I asked citibank hotline. They said I can't even pay citi bank cc bill by NETs? I mean if I can pay cc bills by xtrasaver NETs, at least I get 0.5% if not the 2%.

Thanks in advance!

Xtrasaver function as a mastercard and a NETs card. You can pay your citibank bill using xtrasaver on AXS.

Yes you can - use the Xtrasaver NETS function and pay from AXS.

Take note the cap limit on rebate earned from NETS now reduced to $15 a month.

Thanks Arcanell! Thanks mikezuper!

So actually, my ultimate question is: how to get the most rebate out of my spendings? Now i am using UOB one/mahattan/Xtrasaver. Any suggestions? Assume that I dont frequently spend a lot but occationally i help my friend to pay several K tuition fees (not retail) or buy several K electric stuffs.

can i pay my house mortgage by cc? :)

lol ur question really need to be shoot =x
house again from scb cc haha.

maximize spending is when u can spend 3k-4k in a month with manhattan card as it can give u 5% for that quarter.

there are many variable equation to maxmize in ur context. because uob one card need u to have the minimum tier spending.

or fuss free go for manhattan + xtrasaver.

anyway tuition fee via credit card aka master/visa through scb/uob card are all consider same discount eligible. (retail in ur context to be eligible for the thing u wan)

Lol, naruto has already ans your question. How to get the most rebate? If u are those calculative kind who knows exactly how much u will spend, u try the UOB one combo with Xtrasaver when manhattan is maxed.

For big ticket items of coz is manhattan.

For those not so calculative on exactly when to spend or ac hoc spending, xtrasaver will also do. 3.33% vs 2% not much difference imho. Of coz the bigger the spending, the bigger difference u will see. If i wanna big spending, manhattan is the way to go.

Another guide for ultimate aka how to get the most of yr savings, use all available cards u have to maximize each card's benefits for example, POSB everyday occasionally have 10% for carrefour, same for Maybank F&F with 10% rebates. Robinsons also have promos at times. Use it wisely and u will get the best benefits out of it.

Bill comes, pay all thru Xtra to get another 0.5% off.. Maxi maximized! :)

to be frank, those who own a VI card typically accumulate miles. since they are more well off.

for average ppl, even the $300 cap by xtrasaver at 2% translate to $15k in spending. any normal person wont spend so much de.

so ur 2% versus 3.33% is too small to mention.

2) pay via AXS with ur phyiscal card or card number and nets from ur xtrasaver card.

3) aka = also known as

4) its huge but only if u spend on huge amount. how much u spend on a mth or even a year?
unless u max out the 15k per mth on xtrasaver always, mean ur income is more than enough for VI card i presume.

$1000, 2% = $20, 3.33% = $33.

5) VI card is visa infinite. for those who earn at least 120k++ per year if not wrong, and some by invitation.
the rich spend more logic, so this kind of card go along with their lifestyle. which ppl accumulate miles to sell or use etc.
abit far off if ur not on the level, same goes for me.

Anway to add on, $13 difference between xtra n uob for 1k spending I would rather do other things. U need to note exactly how much u spend using uob one coz of their many restrictions aka 300/800/1500 for 3 consecutive mths for $30/$80/$150 rebate.

It's imo too much hassle unless u timed nicely with recurring bill payments then u will benefit much from it. If not, my advise to u is to stay away from it and use Xtra for convenient sakes.

Naruto just gave a 1k example, let me ask u in terms of uob one if u swiped just 1k per month. U lost out on the other $200 payment which u won't not earn rebates for it. :s22:

People who are die hard supporters of uob one becoz it offers unparalled dining benefits and certain clubbing priviledges, and they had managed to time their recurring bills for example, 1.5k per month for maximum benefits aka 3.33% rebate. :s12:

To ans your ignored qns. :D Why was it ignored? Becoz U ought to be shot for that.

The same goes for car loan payment, home loan payment, how will your creditors able to let u pay by credit card? 1st assumption will be u don't have money to pay. :s13:

Even if u have the means to pay, if this is exploited, many many rebates/mile points/reward points people will be having already wor. ;)
