Nicknack, would I be able to acheive the same results with those neighbourhood barbers? I think my main concern is whether they can do a good job with the top instead of making my look like an nsf/sec school kid haha. Anw, thanks everyone for your replies!

If you want to trim the top regularly, I suggest you to go to a familiar hairdresser who knows what you like. I've never cut the top and only trimmed the sides.

@nicknack

haha bro I don't have a ponytail, my hair's actually like the pic the-walrus posted.
first impressions on the cut by my friends were like 'wah damn beng sia'

but I believe that as long as you don't dress/act/look like one it's totally fine.

my hair's at the stage where things are kind of starting to look more natural, where in the sides are slowly blending in w the top.

gonna go for a cut in 2weeks, shorten the top to grow my hair out evenly

I very scare of barbers cos i remember last time when i was young,
the barbers always tend to overdo things...

In the end it might turn out like this :vijayadmin:

I need recommendation for hair wax/clay and a hair spray. Something that isn't too damaging to the hair as compared to it's competitors. Currently I'm using Sebastian Craft Clay + Lucido Hairspray (pink one). Im looking for something matte and non re-moldable. The craft clay gives me this shine in my hair that I'm not a fan of too. Lucido gave me mixed results. Sometimes can hold, sometimes can't, I have no idea why too.

One of the most healthy and nourishing product i would say and recommend is the Renati range products... For hairspray wise, use osis holding power 3 or sebestian range hairsprays. Hope this helps

I see. I'm current looking at Renati Paste, Renati Rockhard, Uevo Grey and Redken Outplay Putty. Any recommendation for fine and soft hair?

Been using pink gatsby moving rubber. Any wax that works better?

Currently my new hairstyle is both sides and back of head shaven (durian), left with top of head with hair. Thinking of doing Mohawk or the comb to back or side spike hair.. :) any recommendations?

Where did you got your Prejume Wax 7?

I got Prejume Wax 7 from Ocean at Chinatown. They told me they don't sell it. They only have 5 and 6. Then i went to dig around, took out all the 5 and 6, and surprisingly i managed to find 1 no. 7. Haha so got it.

Anws, anyone have stylist to recommend from jantzen at jurong point, or any other salons nearby?

I saw a couple of Prejume Wax 5 and 6 but never noticed Prejume Wax 7 previously.

How much is a haircut at jantzen? I'm looking for decent salons around jurong too
