Was on this ics yeterday using mobile odin to flash... All went well but batt performance was terrible... So end up use mobike odin to flash back stock odex rooted dxlc2... Maybe just lucky that i did not brick...

Everytime you flash a new firmware you need to give it at least 1 charging cycle to become stable. My battery life is fantastic so far.

Well you got 2 methods. Safer one is wait for Chainfire to get back his Note and update his TriangleAway app. Second way, you can try this: [REF] How to remove yellow triangle on any firmware with JIG - xda-developers and have to say it's a bit scary, but it worked for me. I followed the instructions carefully and it worked.
The 2ND method is very safe... I always do that. It just the step 7 to 10 that look scary but in actual, it even safer than triangle away

I did not have a problem flashing from LC2 to LPY on my stock rooted note using mobile Odin. In fact I used cwm to clear my cache and dalvik after the upgrade and it has been good so far. You guys made me anxious about cwm's issue with ics and it appears scarry due to possibility of bricking the note.

Not so much concern.. I'm more interested in taking picture while taking video.. It seem note german ics unable to do so..

taking pictures while taking videos? :s22:
They suppose to have a function for that?

if u r a root user, u can remove the camera shutter sound. but can't do much with the focus sound :s22:

Im pretty Much Stock, my current firmware doesnt have the camera shutter and focus sound when on silent* :zonia:
ginger 2.3.5

Use camera ics. Currently the next best to the original app

Thanks for the recommendation, try out cymera too if you like effects.

Hrmm it seems like there are further discussion going on. Those on CM9 can flash to LPY, but don't flash the kernel only. The deletion of huge files seems to be speculation because there was a similar issue on the Epic 4G. No one has been able to confirm that the LPY has the potential to brick other than that 1 guy who flashed LPY kernel over his CM9 install.

Early review of ICS on my Samsung Galaxy Note.
Fast, nice interface, able to have batt percentage indicated instead of default batt indicated (previously need theme to do so), a few new options in setting, able to swipe to clear task manager, able to slide down notification in lock screen, got new lock option, face unlock!
Got new options when pressing the power button, now able to restart, now use google chrome as default browser, power saver is now on notification bar, setting is now in notification bar, able to monitor your data usage as app is inbuilt into settings, orange theme color in keyboard....

But can't find the option to take pic while video...

So far, these are those I managed to find out... Really tasty Ice Cream Sandwich! Would be more yummier once I get rid of NY triangle and rest binary count...

Was the feature to take photos while video recording ever touted for Note?

Dude, you don't have to take it out. I'm talking about files > 1gb stored on the 16gb, not the microSD card. If you stored them there, there is no problem deleting files there. The issue *might* occur if you delete a > 1gb file in the 16gb internal memory. If you stored it in your external microSD card, just go ahead and delete.

Oh thank you for clear understanding telling us, at first I thought was the whole system now you
telling us is the internal memory. That at lest I can have peace in my mind, now I can get back my
movies and seasons shows to catch up... thank you at least you give us a clear picture on what going on.

I'm also trying to learn more and exploring various threads to better understand the issue. So far there is no one else with a hard bricked phone, only a few soft bricks during the upgrade which can easily be remedied by going to download mode and flashing with odin.
