Hotels Recommendation in Ximending

Based on your experiences, if i am looking for hotel to stay in Ximending, which hotel would you recommend?

Rainbow, ECFA, Cityinn Plus, QStay and many more..Depends on ur budget..

My advice is live around Taipei Main Station area for it's the main transport hub thus easier to venture out..

u can try kingshi hotel.. about 60-70... rainbow is more ex.. eafa also ex.. if u wan good one.. u can try TS hotel.. if u can at promo rate.. about 70-80 its very good..

If you are looking at cheap with super excellent location, try this. So far, both my trips are booked on this hotel.

Do note, they are 3 star. If you are looking for luxury, this is not the hotel for you.

But if you simply just need a bed, space, TV, shower with an excellent location, then this is definitely for you.

You can try East Dragon also. Stayed there twice and quite like it as it is in XMD but across a street away from the busy walking area, meaning quiet at night but yet near enough to get to XMD walkabout area. Pricing is cheap as well.

May need early booking as it is kind of popular

I stayed at TS hotel before. Not too bad. Quite near the XMD main area. Room not too tiny, just alright.

Futurestar? This will be in my blacklist as long as I do visit Taipei. Super irresponsible attitude and tried to smoke me. Highly not recommended!!!

This happened in 2010 and my friends recommended this hotel so I called in and confirm my booking as they don't even have a email address. This is the worst part, no email = no black n white. So I also LL suck thumb.

Anyway, confirmed booking with the counter staff over the phone, asked me to call them when I am in taiwan, I still double confirm date making sure it's correct. Best part comes, 1 day before I reach, called and hello hello them. Told me no booking, argued for almost 20min, die die say no booking and cannot find. And ask me go find my own hotel, they cannot help me. Did not even offer to help me get one. I was fuming mad.

No choice but to find another hotel, I was at Alishan at that point of time and was searching n calling alot of hotel till almost 12am and luckily the driver for my previous few days helped me and found 1 hotel for me. And I have to wake up at 4am to see the sunrise. If you were me, will you be pissed off?

Nevermind that, guessed what? Next day futurestar called me and said they found my booking but the date is 1 week later. I booked from thurs to sunday and so coincidentally, the booking they found was also from thurs to sunday but 1 week later. So I told them maybe your staffs got the date wrong but they still argued with me saying no way, they won't get it wrong.

I also do not want to talk to them anymore cos their attitude SUX!!! After that, still got the cheek to ask me whether I still want to confirm the booking for next week. What a dumb question!! I do not need to answer, you all should know the answer.

Enuff said, they are going into my blacklist and I will not recommend them any of my friends nor stay there. This is not just about 1 or 2 staffs but the whole idiotic management of Futurestar. Irresponsible + Stuck up and refusal to acknowledge their lapse.

hahaha, forget it. I also do not wish to waste any more of my time talking to them. It just make me feel stupid talking to idiots and shorten my life by being angry. This is the worst type of business maker, no integrity. Nowadays, without email address, I will not even bother to call and book. Once bitten twice shy.

Anyway, whoever want to book Futurestar. Do it at your own risk. I have already pre-warn you, don't end up sleeping on the street or airport especially during the festive seasons where rooms are fully booked everywhere.

TS is not bad and cheap too cos I stayed 2 times, quite near to XMD and mrt station. The recent time I stayed at Wonstar near Taipei main station but walking distance can be quite long. Might try cityinn plus at XMD next time, the reviews at tripadvisor are quite good.

can try paradise hotel. the staff there super nice.

1st i reach, just nice our room water pipe burst. they offer to bring us to other hotel to stay for 1 night. best thing is they offer cab fare for both ways!

I like East Dragon Hotel. It is across the road from the main XMD stretch. I stayed there twice and the staff were friendly and helpful.

i stayed in a minsu in ximending area...preferred minsu cos i find the deco prettier....

if you are looking for those clean hotels with beautiful decor, you can consider going these hotels. They are very new hotels with great location so cleaniness is also not a problem.
